I don't know what effect/benefit it'll do to the guitar strings, but I'm almost positive you'll just end up damaging your fretboard. Use a GHS Fast Fret String Cleaner instead. Not only do they clean the strings, but it makes them extra slippery as well.

Sigurado meron panglinis sa audiophile. Kahit yung guitar juice or lotion pwede rin. Ako baby oil or petroleum jelly gamit ko, broke ako eh . Para lang dumulas punasan at kumapit sa basahan yung libag at kalawang tapos pupunas-punasan ko na lang ng ibang tuyong basahan pag tapos na.

Para sakin d ko mare-recommend ang WD-40 para sa kahit anong application sa gitara, though sa tuning pegs pwede pa siguro. Mahirap tanggalin ang residue at hanep rin mangolekta ng alikabok, dudumi lang lalo ang gitara.

About SRV's tone, it's still a mystery for many how his tone sounded "so hot." Hot as in burning ah. Even if you have a very nice Strat loaded with 12's or 13's mahirap unless you get those "special pickups." As far as I can remember, his Number 1 had unique pickups, even the guys from Fender were confused. Pero si Kenny Wayne Shepherd halos nakokopya niya. Heheheh!

pwede ba humingi ng tabs dito? d ako magaling maggitara eh.. alam ko lang bumasa ng tabs.. hahaha.. minsan ilang weeks or months bago ko mabuo talaga.. hahaha.. wa kasi masyadong interest eh.. i've been playing since i was 13 pero super on and off (more than 2 years minsan ang on and off)...

d rin ako marunong bumasa ng nota.. the last time na nagbasa ako ng nota eh noong highschool music class! hahaha

Hahahaah ako rin. On and off. Natuto ako nung 11 yata ako. Hobby player lang talaga ako dati. I was never serious about playing the guitar until 3 years ago yata yun, pero d pa rin ganun kaseryoso. Pero ngayon may banda na at pinagkakakitaan na ang paggigitara.

SRV is Stevie Ray Vaughan.. he's one of the best blues-rock fusion guitarists in the world.. probably the best after Jimi Hendrix for me hehe

yep he uses really thick gaguged strings... lakas ng kamay niya sobra

as for me I have been playing guitar since I was 13 years old... so I have been playing for almost 7 years ehheheh...

hindi ako on and off magguitar, I really try to learn stuff by myself. una mga strum strum lang, then chords, as I go by I learned about scales, a bit of theory, technique and rock music

mostly I play are hard rock, rock and roll and a bit of blues rock haha.. me likey Hendrix, SRV, Razorback, Wolfgang, Black Sabbath hehe

@poyang - kung sa raon ka bibili, bring somebody who lives and breathes the guitar, he can inspect the gear and test them for you and he can recommend you what to buy...

@whiteguitar_17 - murang zoom? G2.Iu ba? try searching at the Rakista site and check out the guitar forums, daming nagbebenta dun... both analog and effects processors, you mgiht find what you are looknig for there...

though I haven't tried buying from others/2nd hands

Hey guys!

umm ... whassup? I used to be in an assortment of bands a while back hehe. My last band was a blues band with my SO but we always had a problem with the drummer cause blues drummers gave always been in rather short supply

Anyway, we're gonna revive the band and I don't wanna play rhythm guitar anymore cuz I work 2 jobs but I'll still be doin vocals. We're in need of another guitarist so if you're interested, just PM me right here. Our influences and possible repertoire may include : Lynyrd Skynyrd (Black Betty, hopefully), Bonnie Raitt, Francine Reed, Jimmy Rogers and the incomparable BB King.

oh, and uh ... we're doin it for the passion so ... hope y'know what I mean

This is not about guitars but an inquiry for guitar players who might know about the wooden drum box used by acoustic groups. My friends loves to get together jamming every weekend playing or acoustic guitars, and having fun. We would like to include a drum box on our jamming sessions. We're here in Saudi by the way. I cannot see any box drum sold here. Any body knows how it is built, measurements, dimensions, wood materials, damping materials, etc, so maybe I can build one here.

Malikmata, it's called Cajon. Try googling "DIY cajon" or something like that. I actually found sites from the search results that you might find helpful.
