    How much does banks charge for regional interbranch deposit fee

    What bank have lowest or no regional interbranch deposit fee.

    Metrobank - minimum P50.00 for cash deposits
    - free for check deposit

    Anyone knows how much other banks charge?

    BPI don't charge any fees on interbranch deposit (cash or check) or interbranch withdrawals anywhere in the country....

    Just got this from UCPB website

    NEW POLICY ON PESO INTERBRANCH TRANSACTIONS
    Effective July 1, 2007, the service fee on interbranch deposit / withdrawal /check encashment / fund transfer involving PESO Current / Savings Account shall be as follows:

    A. Interbranch Peso Cash Deposit

    1. Local - Free of charge

    2. Regional

    PhP100,000 and below - PhP100 per deposit slip
    Above PhP 100,000 - .001 of amount per deposit slip
    B. Interbranch Peso Check Deposit
    1. First Deposit Slip (limited to 15 checks) - Free of charge
    2. Succeeding Deposit Slip
    Local - PhP50 per deposit slip of 15 checks
    Regional - PhP120 per deposit slip of 15 checks

    C. Interbranch Peso Withdrawal / Check Encashment (availability subject to prior approval of authorized officer)
    1. PhP100,000 and below
    Local - PhP50 per withdrawal slip / check
    Regional - PhP120 per withdrawal slip / check
    2. Above PhP100,000
    Local - .0005 of withdrawal / encashment amount per slip / check
    Regional - .0012 of withrdawal / encashment amount per slip / check

    D. Interbranch Peso Fund Transfer where both accounts to be debited or credited are not maintained in the servicing branch
    1. Local - PhP50 per transaction, regardless of amount
    2. Regional - PhP120 per transaction, regardless of amount

    E. Interbranch Peso Fund Transfer where both or either one of the accounts to be debited is maintained in the servicing branch
    - Free of charge

    Interbranch transactions refer to deposits, withdrawal or fund transfer transactions made in a branch that is not the maintaining branch of the account where the funds are to be deposited or withdrawn.
    An interbranch transaction is considered as Local when the transacting branch has the same telephone area code as that of the maintaining branch. When the maintaining branch is outside of the transacting branch's telephone area code, the interbranch transaction is considered as Regional.

    Anyway, that's their bank's policy. It's up for the people to give in or not, but I would advice people that as much as possible, look for a bank that don't have any interbranch charges. It is one way of accommodating bank's client at no extra cost on their part....

    BPI & BPI FAMILY BANK they have no more interbranch charges for OVER THE COUNTER deposits & withdrawals NATIONWIDE.....
