^I got mine last year for 15k, board and bindings. Ngayon yata mejo nagtaas na ng price. I bought mine from CamSur.

yun na nga... meron pa naman 15k combo na, kaso 134 naman... tapos all the other boards are in camsur. ok lang sana, coz that's our province pero la pa oras to get off work. pag ako naloka sa internet nalang ako bibili kasi pag nag compute ako ng price medyo cheaper pa...

we had so much fun. we're planning

we tried Lago De Oro in Batangas last year
at first worried ako sa wakeboarding kasi baka delikado
pero nung nakita ko na, it's a cable wakeboard style pala
so safe kc you hold on to a cable to drag you, not a motorboat.
kka-addict nga ito, kahit sumasakit na katawan namin
we tried until matuto ng nakatayo, pero ako til kneeboard plng.

Sabi ng kaibigan ko na medyo marumi raw sa Lago. Is that true? Better pa raw sa CWC. Pero siguro lamang ang Batangas kasi masmalapit.

^^ ayun naka punta nako sa stoked warehouse kahapon. kararating lang (as in kakaalis lang daw nung nagdeliver) nung mga bago kaya wala pang price tags. pero naka hingi ako ng pricelist, pati combo. medyo mahal pero meron sila nung gusto ko, yung lotus 131. which brings me to my question: pag size 38 (Eur) or 7 (US) paa ko (yeah mahaba talaga paa ko hehehe), ano dapat size ng bindings ko, S/M? L? pag lam ko na, bili nako! thanks thanks! woohoo!!!

up ko lang etong thread. I just came from CWC last weekend. First time to try this and what can I say, it was really fun. First try was using knee board at the cable park in CWC. First try, i was able to take off from the starting position and then a few meters, i fell. Kind of embarrasing. Anyhow, swam back to shore and tried again, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th time, i was able to finish the whole lap.

Then half day at winch park (for beginners), 1st try, i fell, 2nd try I was able to do 3/4 of the 85 meter cable. Then afterwards, I was able to finish. But of course once in awhile i would still fall. But what a challenge.

Anyone doing this for fun? maybe I can tag along at Lago de Oro as it is closer from Manila. It would be cheaper if madami tayo. Meron sila mga packages for a minimum of 4.

PM me if interested kayo, feeling ko na addict na yata ako.

Wakeboarders demo at Munti

MANILA, Philippines - Five celebrity wakeboarders will grace the opening of Republic at Westgate, Alabang, Muntinlupa this weekend in an event dubbed “Republic Movement Down South.”

The wakeboarders – Nick Davies (UK Wakeboard World Champion 2009); Kim II Young (Korea, Asian Wakeboard Champion 2009); Shawn Watson (US Red Bull Winch Rail Master Champion 2007); Shane Bonifay (US, voted as 2009 Wakeboard Move of the Year), and Phillip Soven (US, King of Wake 2009) – will do a demo in a 7m x 100-meter winch pool
set up in the middle of Filinvest Avenue. A skate park shall also be open to the public.

Westgate Center, located at the Filinvest Corporate City in Alabang, is a master-planned retail, fitness, dining and automotive complex in the south. It now houses Republic which is touted to become a haven for skaters and wakeboarders in the south of Manila with its array of funky sports gear and active urban streetwear inspired by LA and New York brands.
