I used to jog in UP from 1993 to 1995 when I was still competing for my school's track team. A friend with the UP Mountaineers' showed me her org's route for a 5K run and that's what I used during my jogging days here.

It's so much better to jog in UP than to jog in ADMU. The academic oval has level ground all the way.

    Cool

The best time to jog/walk in UP is on Sundays because of the "carless academic oval" scheme they have on that day. You don't have to worry about pollution or getting run over by a car if you jog/walk on the road instead of the sidewalk.

I've been planning to walk my dog around the acad oval but I've never gotten around to doing it. Got to buy some rubber shoes first.

I used to run at the academic oval from 95-97 when I was still in the varsity. We would run two to three rounds then do sprints at the track oval. It feels really good. Most of the time I get runner's high. I don't get tired anymore especially when I don't break the regimen. But when I don't get to train for maybe a week due to exams or because I got sick, I try to start slowly then go back to my usual pace. Basta, jogging in UP is something that I miss so much.

Jogging never really was my thing because I find it so monotonous but I can say that jogging in UP is ... interesting. You can exercise and people-watch at the same time. There are so many pedestrians and cars to amuse yourself with so it's not boring. But I get tired easily so my idea of jogging is really more on walking...

i tried it once lang k'ze our coach (who's from UP) made us jog (not just around the oval but...) around the campus. i don't really go to UP that much so i was amazed at how huge the campus is. i also found out that jogging there is very challenging b'coz aside from the fact that you have to keep up with the pace of the rest of the team, you also have to dodge oncoming jeepneys and other vehicles. you also get a lot of weird looks. all in all, it was pretty fun.
