For me, masaya ako na sya *** naging prof ko. Kunin niyo tong prof na 'to marami kayong maeexperience!

The class draw lots a day or two before the speech proper to determine the order of speeches. You'll be given a topic, then asked to leave the room for 3-5 minutes to collect your thoughts while the person before you starts with his speech. You have to give at least 3 arguments to strengthen your main point.

Random ang topics, ranging from "kung papipiliin ka na lumipat sa ibang course, anong kukunin mo at bakit?" to "what can you do to alleviate the ailing status of illegal settlers in the Philippines?"

And yes, I got the former. Just bad luck, I guess. :/

You learn because the prof makes the subject enjoyable, therefore you are motivated to learn more. Simpleng reinforcement lang yan. Would you want to work for a prof who gives you a 5 over a paper you sweated overnight, not even saying what went wrong and how to improve on it? Yan yung mga prof na walang pakealam kung may matutunan yung studyante and kills your enthusiasm to learn, which defeats the purpose of actually getting a subject (which is to learn).

Personally, i don't blame those who get "unoable" profs (quotation kasi i believe the unoable ones are the ones who are very engaging in the class and rewards students who perform, such that they don't give 1.00s like crazy just to anyone, but that the 1.00s they give is a result of hardowrk on the part of the students). I have experienced profs who put a ceiling grade (kahit maperfect mo lahat ng exams niya 1.25 lang grade mo - exaggerated pero you get the thought) kasi eto yung mga prof na hindi marunong umintinding and standards niya ay dapat nilelevel niya sa students (oo, alam kong hindi dapat bumababa sa kabobohan ang profs pero at least, hindi phd level ang expected work output sa niyo)

    there. Just my two cents.
    true! So true!

Prof. Name: Sir John Gabriel Pelias
Description: He is a kind of prof who make you say "My gosh! He is a genius!", "No wonder he is that GWA record holder!" or "Is he even human?" (whahahaha peace) Every formula he tecahes, he always explain where did those com from. He is a more of teaching-the-concepts prof and my gosh, I don't know how the hell he got all those he teaches! He is that... extraordinary. However,he seems to be teaching without a somehow "bond" with his students like you know, cracking some jokes to give us a short break from math; he's very ummm...professional towards teaching for young his age...you know, very serious in teaching lessons. Besides his prodigistic teachings, another great things about him are his humility, anime-fanticism (yep it is great because it proves that he is a human too ano daw whahaha) and acommodating personality. Recommended for math fanatics.

I have learned a lot from him kasi andami niyang alam. Tapos minimal lang ang requirements. Report, paper, recitation etc. (Field Trip = one of the most memorable moments in my college life)

    --

Iniego - reporting + field trip (optional) + 3 Quizzes + Final Exam (may exemption) + paper (depende kung nag-field trip or not) + 20% Attendance (kaya pumasok araw araw)

with the attendance tinitingnan niya lang sa picture yung mga tao kaya dapat mapansin ka niya also join the field trip kahit costly

Don't ever come to class without the reading kasi magtatampo siya

Naval - May reporting din and quizzes. Maraming trivia about Rizal - as in kahit love life niya, aso niya, kakantiyawan niya sa ganitong lugar masasabi ni sir.

Rizal wrote El Fili and Noli naman in a way na magegets ng kahit sino yung ibig niyang sabihin at na-discuss na iyon nung 3rd at 4th year HS.

I got a 1.75 sa kanya.

(Pictures ng Troy, Pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge)
