"We've been dying to work with each other. Finally it happened," Aga says. Claudine echoes his sentiments, saying it's been great working with Aga. Aga and Claudine are also all-praises for the behind-the-scenes team of their movie. "Magaling yung staff. We have the best cinematographer, production designer, associate director, and of course si Direk Rory Quintos, we all know she's one of the best directors we have." The two also credits teamwork, as a major ingredient to the beauty of the film. Aga says, "Yung film naming kasi, feeling ko, parang first time nangyari na lahat nag-trabaho talaga. Kami as actors, sumusunod lang kami."

Claudine fails to say I love you to Rico

Young dramatic actress Claudine Barretto cried buckets on Sunday, saying she was not able to even say "I love you" to her beau, actor Rico Yan, before he died.

In an interview with The Buzz on Sunday, Barretto said she is hurt by the untimely death of Yan, who died of hemorrhagic pancreatitis on Good Friday at Dos Palmas resort in Palawan.

"It's so hard…sometimes I ask, why now? I didn't even get to see him or to hug him or to say Rico, 'I love you so much' again."

Although the two split a few weeks ago, Barretto said she and Yan planned to patch things up after his vacation.

"[He said] that when he gets back, he'd be more prepared…so everything would be all right," Barretto said.

Yan's girlfriend of four years said she relishes the moments that they were together.

"There's so much good memories and I don't know how this could happen to us. We have so many dreams and plans, we have secrets that only the two of us know," she said.

Her mother, Inday, said she feels weighed down by Barretto's grief.

"I told her if I could only have her heart and ease her pain… I think she has to be given time to grieve and to heal," the elder Barretto said in an interview with TV Patrol reporter Mario Dumaual.

She said she wanted Claudine to visit Yan's wake for her to accept his death.

"I wanted her to see Rico and realize, no matter how painful, that he is gone but that his memories will always be there," she said.

Barretto went to Yan's wake at Divine Child Chapel in La Salle Greenhills on Sunday.

The two were last seen paired in the movie Got 2 Believe.

Claudine remembers Rico:An exclusive by Pipol

Taong 1996 ng unang magkatambal sina Claudine Barretto at Rico Yan sa Radio Romance the movie.

Sweet sila sa pelikula. Pero sa labas may kani-kaniyang relasyon sila kaya't halos di nila pansin ang isa't -isa.

"He was very formal, parang very uptight that's how I saw Rico. Then I found out na hindi, kalog pala sya," sabi ni Claudine.

Sa teleseryeng Mula sa Puso muling pinagtagpo ang kanilang mga landas.

Sa kabila ng kanilang love team sa likod ng kamera lagi silang nag-aaway, nagkukulitan.

Sabi ni Wenn Deramas, isa sa mga nag-direct kay Rico, madalas mag-away ang dalawa noon.

"Di alam ng tao na nung ginagawa yung Mula sa Puso, magkaaway na sila. Ay naku! Boyfriend pa nya si Mark [Anthony Fernandez]. Kaya naiinitindihan ko, bakit ang init ng ulo nya sa babaeng ito kasi may gusto sya."

Pinatunayan naman ito ni Claudine.

"We fight every time. Wala lang kaming pinag-aawayan. We couldn't get along. Kahit ano pinag-aawayan naming sabi ko, siguro may crush ka sa akin kaya mo ko inaaway. Sabi nya, baka ikaw. Pareho kaming pikon."

Hindi na napigil ng dalawa ang kanilang mga damdamin.

Isang araw, naging magnobyo na sila.

Mainit itong tinaggap ng kanilang mga tagahanga at mula noo'y naging isa sila sa pinakamainit na love team sa likod at sa labas ng kamera.

Sa isang file interview, nang tanungin si Rico kung ano ang nagustuhan nya kay Claudine, sabi nya, "The good thing about Claudine is, siguro there are about a million things that you can like about her. You can't just say na she is nice. For one, she's very thoughtful."

Para naman kay Claudine, maraming naituro si Rico sa kanya.

"I learned a million things from Rico, I can't say na ito yung pinakaimportanteng natutunan ko pero sobrang dami eh," aniya.

"When Rico and I got together, I came from a very bad relationship and he made me feel very special. He'd always say, 'You're beautiful, you're a wonderful person," dagdag nya.

Naging makulay ang buhay pag-ibig ng dalawa. Malalim ang kanilang pagtitinginan.

"I'd do anything and everything for Rico no matter how hard sometimes it could be and ganun din sya sa kin," sabi ni Claudine.

Napag-usapan na rin nila ang pagpapakasal.

Wala pang kongretong plano pero napag-usapan din nila ang pagpapamilya.

"Partner kami, team kami. 2003 supposedly [kami magpapakasal], on the first year pa lang, we were joking 2003, pero habang papalapit nang papalapit, pareho kaming natatakot," sabi ni Claudine.

Sa loob ng apat na taong pagmamahalan di naiwasan ang pagtatampuhan at habang tumatagal nagiging mas seryoso ang kanilang di pagkakasundo.

"We'll always say na God kakayanin namin. Kahit sobrang hirap," sabi ni Claudine.

Bago umalis si Rico patungong Palawan nagkasundo silang maghiwalay muna at mag-isip.

"We were being serious sa relationship namin. Better that you know, we have fun, go out and make sure na ako na talaga," ani Claudine.

Matapos maipalabas ang kanilang huling pelikula, ang Got to Believe, nag-umpisang maglabasan ang mga balitang hiwalay na sila Rico at Claudine.

Lahat nakaabang sa mga susunod na pag-amin ngunit pinili ng dalawa ang manahimik at hintaying maghilom at muling mabuo ang relasyong umabot din ng apat na taon.

Sa huling paalam ni Rico kay Claudine para sa isang bakasyon, sinabi niya kay Claudine na sa kanyang pagbabalik muling maiaayos na ang lahat sa tamang lugar.

"When we get to settle everything it has to be settled and we just said after Holy week we're not going to talk about it anymore," sabi ni Claudine.

Pero sa nakabibiglang pangyayari di na muling nabalikan ni Rico ang pangakong iniwan niya kay Claudine.

"He didn't keep his promise," sabi ni Clauܥe #
"I was asking why…but I said to God 'just take care of him.' Masakit sobra, I'm not gonna say hi anymore [to him], no one will say goodnight. There are few people I got comfortable with, I cannot hug him anymore, I cannot baby him anymore," sabi ni Claudine.

Nang nabubuhay pa ay tinanong si Rico kung ano ang nais n'yang pasalamatan kay Claudine.

"To Claudine I want to thank her for being that strong woman who would always back up her man. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be where I am right now, sya yung pader na sinasandalan ko," sabi ni Rico.

Masyadong mabilis ang pagkawala ni Rico. Masyado siyang maraming naiwang ala-ala kay Claudine.

Mahirap talagang tanggapin na wala na ang taong nakapagbigay sa kanya ng ngiti araw-araw.

"I thank God for him but I'm scared that I might not be able to let go and to accept it. It will not be going to be the same," pagtatapos na sabi ni Claudine.
