    season 70 basketball: pre ordained

11 pre ordained games in favor of the UE. its like god made it so. excuse me for saying this but this season is just turning out in favor of 1 team, no challenge at all and this makes it an asterisk season for the other teams, i mean come on, not even a roller coater ride,,,just a straight ride to recto.

no offense to UE and its spectators. Is there a team that could even challenge and stand up against there solid line up?

your opinions pls,,,,i mean right now im predicting they'll get it with no sweat.

I believe they have a huge probability of gaining the Men's basketball title.

Who knows, maybe they'll stumble again but that's besides your point.

    They are solid.

ue can win all its games during the regular season..but remember, it's the final four games that matter the most...ateneo had a great regular season back in 2003 but they lost badly to feu in the finals..wonderful season went down the drain... it's either you win the championship, or nothing at all..people won't remember your team's performance in the regular season if you don't win the crown..

all of them can shoot 3pts from the perimeter line. and all there shots are nothing but pure net, i mean really all there players are formidable, coach dindo's just playing the right cards as well,a sentinel line up. i maybe sourgraping at some extent but isnt there a glimpse that they might just trip, even just a little sign they might falter? come on other teams,,,will you just let this ride go straight to recto?if they get the plum which im betting my hefty double digits salary they might then i can also say God is a UEian.

good point there. the final 4 is another field they need to master, but with all the good things coming in the package fore them, i see no limit to there awesome determination.

that's what we thought so too during yap, tubid, artadi, kg, omiping days...

recent history is not too friendly to UE when it comes to the final four..so it's up to them to overcome the jinx this year...i thought ateneo played well against UE this season...those two games could have gone either way..especially the second game where ateneo shot miserably from the free throw line which could have put UE away..

i have to agree that ue is a different team this season but again...they have to overcome the final four jinx to win it all... it's i important to note that there's no player in the ue lineup (since ue has not reached uaap finals for the past decade) that has uaap finals experience..that's something you cannot teach..it all boils down to whether they can make those key baskets and execute their plays down the stretch (not during regular season but final four games)...on the other hand, ust, la salle and ateneo got numerous players who have tasted the real pressure of playing for the elusive title.. for me, ust is still the team to beat in season 70...

Off Topic: please check the typo>[there=their?], [fore=for?], [coater=coaster?]

It all boils down to one thing, The Warrior Team this season is pretty solid and dominating. It's not too hard to figure that out, is it? and though, i can say other opposing teams are equally competitive as well, this batch of red team is simply too much for them. Most likely, this could be their "right" time to win the crown (no jinx). If ever indeed, all their efforts during this season is worth the title because they deserved it.

^ if they get to sweep all their remaining games, then the final four jinx you guys were reiterating here wont matter anymore.

it is still not safe to assume that UE can win it all. we just have to keep on pleading ang praying. if it is God's will... so be it!

    If UE goes 14-0
    Unscathed in the elims
They'll get an automatic bye to the finals
And a step ladder elims will take place
    3 & 4 knock each other out
For the right to face no. 2
At stake will be the 2nd finals berth
    Best of 3 finals
Give credit where credit is due
    UE is not only talented
    But focused and disciplined
    At UST
    We take them seriously
And we do hope that they make it to the finals outright
    It's "easier"
To win two games against different opponents
Rather than two over the same opponent...
... in the event of the final 4
We are confident of our chances against UE
Just like last year against them and Ateneo

I'm really hoping for UE to lose a game and then continue their jinx in the final four to shut up the UE fans here...

Grabe yabang sobra...kahit iyong dlsu season na 13-1 dati di ganon kayabang...wala pa naman pinapatunayan ang UE hindi pa nila nakukuha ang championship...

^lol the hefty two digit salary bit made me laugh.

bago ka magsalita, tumingin ka muna sa salamin ha...sobrang yabang???eh ang DLSU nga hindi pag nagsisimula ang season sobra ng yabang...tsk tsk..baka ikaw ang mayabang??

  15. #15
Excuse me, we were not hyping ourselves at the start of the season. Mukha lang mayabang because of the outside expectations from basketball junkies and media personnel and because of forum trolls tulad ng lintik na heavy gear na yan.

Tsk tsk, UE logic hehehe, there's a reason why you went to UE you know...

Hey wait, when did you last win the UAAP men's basketball championship?

    When?

When did you last win a final four?

    When?

    Hihihihihihihihih

Mahirap talaga pag 11-0, lumilipad na ang utak. Tamo si marimekko, naging 11-0 lang ang UE eh nag-reveal na baklush pala sya.
