was able to get on Star Cruises Superstar Virgo from Singapore. Cruise around Indonesia then we dropped by Port Klang(optional tour) to get to Kuala Lumpur. Balcony class per pax is around USD600. Free na lahat ng food and drinks. Dami pang pinoy na crew.
Anyway if you've heard about Royal Carribean, they will launch their Asian Cruise sometime in December. Port is still at Singapore. Rates start at around $300. not bad.
does it include the price of the plane ticket?how many days yung cruise? anong travel agency?thanks..
oh i forgot. you have to get a plane ticket from MNL-SIN and hotel with at least 1-2 nights stay at singapore para sulit.
I am also interested in Asian Cruise, especially cruises that touch Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, China or Malaysia. I originally wanted to include Star Cruise on my Asian tour this October. The problem is that I am alone and the cabins are designed and priced for two people. I wanted to avail but they wanted to slap me with 150% charge instead of just 100%. That's an additional 25,000 pesos. Sayang din. So if there is a lone cruiser like me, let's see what we can do.
^SIS Laarni, Gem here.. I want to go too, if you want we can be travel buddies.
Gem, I sent you a pm.![]()
ok, got it. a thread for cruise dreamers. hehe. hi gem, lets try to fish details for our cruise![]()
anyone there with tips on how to get a cheap asian cruise? for summer sana next year...
also, do i really have to go to another country for the cruise embarkation? wala bang cruise na may port of call sa manila? are thre other asian cruises na may cruise other than thailand-malaysia-singapore?
^ unfortunately wala talaga sis...yung nakita ko either SG, HK or Taiwan
There's Japan, Korea and Taiwan cruise.
Sa Japan ang pupuntahan ay Nagasaki, Okinawa, Tokyo and Kobe
Sa Korea naman Jeju Island
Sa Taiwan naman Keelung (about an hour's bus ride to Taipei)
It's via Costa Cruises. The ship is not as nice as Star Cruise or Royal Carribean yun nga lang sila lang ang may ganyang itinerary so far...
The thing with cruises lang is that you can't explore talaga yung place...
@chuvachenes: japan looks cool as i haven't been there. pero if i'll go there i want to stay for few days ata at maexperience and see all the good places. jeju island looks also very cool. yung taiwan kasi..honestly... i dont think that would be exciting. hmm...
actually, ok lang rin naman sg ang hk kaya lang since been there na kaya im thinking sana ibang place naman..
baka naman next year meron na cruise liner na may port of call an sa manilawish..wish..wish.. after all few days na lang xmas na

True! I was not able to enjoy Tokyo because we only got to stay there for 1 1/2 days. Same with Kobe and Taiwan.
Hmm Taiwan is for shopaholics (like me) that's why I got to enjoy it even for just a short time.
By the way, Costa Cruise also stops in Manila (during November I think)...
stumble upon this (saw in an ad from Speed mag):

eh "the only luxury cruise" daw sila sa Phil., kaya medyo mahala. Inter-island cruise lang pa la ito sa Phils.
Any updates on those who went to a cruise just recently?![]()
May Star Cruise offer saamin sa school, part ng OJT namin. Routing Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and it costs 1059 USD. I heard this cruise will be for a week (Oct 1 - 6). Tanong ko lang kung reasonable po ba yung price? Ganun po ba talaga kamahal?
If you guys have to choose between that Star Cruise or CDO On-Board Training (Super Ferry) that costs P17, 300 only at may training talaga than SC na more on seminars, ano po pipiliin nyo?
Graduating na ako so yan na yung pinakamalaking gastos ko sa OJT namin. Huhu.
I'm so torned. I want to experience that SC kasi baka di na ako makalabas ng bansa. Haha. Pero my biggest problem is the amount.
