Important Message to All Geemickerz

Yesterday, we were invited by Entertainment Live to participate in sort of mini-debate on their show. Bodie, Mickey and Gee-Ann will be the show's guests to promote Love Spell, but after concurring with fellow officers, we'd decided to decline their invitation. It pains us not to be physically present for Gee-Ann & Mickey albeit our strong desire to support the two, however, this is what we thought of and decided on so ABS-CBN may LISTEN to us, that majority of the Geemickerz do not want TRIANGLE. To participate/engage in such verbal exchanges for me is like helping the network further promotes the BODGEEMICK triangle.

Our stance to boycott LS reduce to nil if we are to accept such invitation. We understand that we may earn the ire of other camps for this decision but this is GEEMICK stance, GEEMICK, as a separate entity, GEEMICK, with our own sets of officers and GEEMICK, not a sub-group of anyone. Our decision does not diminish in any way our love and support to Gee and Mick.

Here is the email sent out earlier this afternoon to the head writer and executive producer of the show, Entertainment LIVE and I would like to share it with you.

Dear Madam,

First of all, we would like express our heartfelt gratitude for inviting us to participate in your program. However, after conferring with fellow GeeMickers officers and members from Metro Manila, the provincial areas as well as those abroad we have arrived at a unanimous decision.

We regret to inform you that inasmuch as we want to defend our support for Gee and Mick, we have decided as a group to decline participation in the debate. We feel that the following reasons will help you understand why we have come to this decision.

First, we believe that declining the debate reflects which venues our support will be more productive. We just believe that the fruits of a tandem will be more appreciated by more people and therein, more profitable for ABS-CBN as a producer/network handling talents of Gee and Mick. Our only wish is for the talents to be honed beyond the “triangle” issue, and beyond the “triangle” projects. The boycott campaign is not a whim, nor a bratty insensitive act as others deem it to be; we believe it to be a sacrifice on our part as every moment with Gee and Mickey together gives us infinite joy.

Secondly, on that point regarding “triangle” projects. We believe the “triangle” is damaging for Gee-Ann as she is misinterpreted as “playing the field”. We are not aware if there are any directions that restrain her to further comment on whom to favor – whether it be Mickey or Bodie – which could actually set aside any misinterpretations. But what we know is that the “triangle” is damaging to what could be another ABS-CBN talent with strong drawing power for an audience. We believe in marketing a product well, and if Gee or Mickey are lucrative talents or brands for ABS-CBN, then we believe they should be well received without any controversy or misinterpretation. The best way to test these tandems are to perhaps create separate projects for each.

Thirdly. The Geemickers have been recently under fire (and seem to be constantly under fire). We understand that the passion, devotion, dedication of the group can be open to misinterpretation and judgment. We have cautioned ourselves and created a level of discipline and responsibility with our actions – especially in the Pinoy Exchange thread which is our common venue for open discussion. And we wish to extend the responsibility even outside of the thread. We do not wish to add fuel to the fire by engaging in a debate with another group with an opposing view. We believe the debate is not on who is better than who. We believe it is counter-productive to where we wish to focus our efforts on and that is mainly to support Gee and Mickey as a tandem. We want the numbers to speak for themselves.

We hope you understand our position. If in the future your program wishes to promote Gee-Ann and Mickey as a tandem, you can count on us to give you our full support.

Pero para mas klaro iconnect ko lahat ang mga words, We GeeMickers, want GeeMick in a show alone, since we believe na they can stand and make any show successful alone, they don’t need a ka-Triangle (second party) para may patunayan, unless the ka Triangle (second party) cannot stand alone, but that is not our concern dahil kami ay GeeMicker (definition above is very clear), by this the GeeMick Officers and most of the Members (as per their stand listed below herewith) decided to Boycott Love Spell and to Sacrifice one project of the GeeMick tandem just to show that we are NOT in favour of the Triangle. Although it will be very hard for all of us, we need to do for once para maiparting natin ang ating mensahe. Para sa kaalaman ng lahat ang desisyon na ito ay nde bunga lang ng damdamin kung hindi ito ay pinag isipang mabuti para sa kabutihan ng GeeMick sa mas mahabang scope ng panahon, as a Long Term Solution para sa kanilang dalawa at para sa kanilang career.

Kaya nananawagan ako sa inyong lahat na makipag kaisa sa proyekto natin na Boycott Love Spell to Stop the Triangle!!!! Dahil kung magtagumpay tayo ngayon, magkakaroon ng bunga ang ating pag sasakripisyo.

EVEN BEFORE PBB COULD ANNOUNCE IT, THERE WERE VIEWERS ALREADY NOTICING HOW BEAUTIFUL THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS GROWING AND THAT DID NOT NEED A TRIANGLE TO FLOURISH. SO WHY IS THERE A TRIANGLE NOW? ABS is wise. They're capitalizing on four strong camps here:Geemicks, Geanatics, MickPerz, and the other one.

I really don't know the reason what strength "the other camp" has versus the 3 others which I think is already a very strong base. In fact "the other camp" is almost negligible compared to the 3.

Also, ABS thrives on controversy and issues as this propels the ratings, so business is business, the triangle exists because it elicits controversy.

MARKETING 101 YAN ABS. Always let your brands connect with the most lucrative market! Asus! I don't know why they can't get it.

And STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT. BUILD THE BRANDS WITH THE STRONGEST POTENTIALS, BUILD GEE AND MICKEY (Pardonne moi if I call them "brands" but that's how celebrity marketing should be done. And when they are strong then they can branch out).

Kawawang GeeAnne, naiipit because of these investment.

BUT I BELIEVE IN TIME, IF WE HOLD ON TOGETHER, REMAIN STRONG, CONTINUE OUR EMAILS, OUR SUPPORT AND OUR DEDICATION. THIS IS A SHOW OF STRENGTH, SUPPORT. LATER ON SAAN KA BA PAPANIG PAG MAY MINA-MARKET KA? DI BA SA MAS MALAKAS! WHY DO I THINK GEE AND MICKEY ARE RIGHT? (Allow me to think like a marketing person)

1. They established a foundation inside the house and evidently it is seen even outside of the house with their following, their dedication to each other, their support for each other.

2. They are aesthetically more appealing -- romantically speaking on screen they register well.

3. They are strong endorsers -- why else would they be chosen for Clear and asked to come to McCann Erickson -- one of the biggest agencies in the country.

4. Simply because "their story" is more inspiring than a shallow "crush" Inside the house these two had their own story -- unmanipulated by BB, challenged by the issues and controversies, and strengthened by their survival.

"Marami ka pang makakasalamuhang Wendy sa labas" -- ika ng ni BB. Isa na itong "triangle" na ito.

Ang sa akin lang is I feel that we need to already make a firm and strong statement on the triangle issue. If we watch the show and ratings show that the episode rated, the credit would once again go to the triangle and NOT to the GEEMICK team-up. If that happens, I can forsee the neverending inclusion of the third wheel in all of GEEMICK'S shows, guestings, appearances and gigs. Lalong lang hahaba itong issue.

But if we make our message strong and clear through this boycott, the effect of this would be long term in terms of the direction of GEEMICK'S showbiz path. And the desired result would be the total abolition of the triangle. So IMHO, what's one sacrifice (as in boycott 1 LS storyline) if we would reap long term rewards for this valiant and firm move?
