    Maraming Wika, Maunlad na Bansa??

    i believe the theme of "Buwan ng Wika" this year needs to be explained..

    doesn't this sound contrary to the idea of language as boundaries for development???

    Sa tingin ko ang wika ay masasabing maunlad kung ito ay patuloy na nagbabago at ginagamit ng mga tao. "Language Evolution" ang tawag dito. Ang Filipino ay patuloy na nagbabago dahil ito ay patuloy na ginagamit. Tingnan mo ang salitang Latin na limitadong mga tao lamang ang mga gumagamit tulad ng mga religious orders, ang salitang ito ay maituturing na patay dahil ito ay hindi nabigyan ng pagkakataon upang yumabong at magbago.

    Masasabing simbolo ng kaunlaran sa kultura ang wikang binubuo ng kolaborasyon ng iba't ibang mga wika dahil sa pagsasama-sama ng iba't ibang lahi.

    Ito rin ay maaaring sukatan ng kaunlaran ng ekonomiya dahil malalaman dito ang lakas pang-akit o attraksiyon ng isang bansa sa iba't ibang lahi tulad ng Estados Unidos na sadyang kaakit-akit na punatahan ng mga turista at immigrants mula sa iba't ibang bansa dahil sa tibay ng kanyang ekonimiya.

    pero sociologically speaking, language ang nagsisilbing barrier for development in countries. for instance, nagkakaroon ng conflict dahil sa language barrier. kumbaga, nagsisilbe pa itong pagsubok pag tinitingnan natin ang perspektibong tagaloob.

    although mayroon kang punto na ang wika ay nagsisilbing atraksyon sa mga taga-labas upang sila ay maakit sa ating kultura.. pero nasaan ang kaunlaran na sinsabi nila? at anug aspeto?

    sabihin natin na ang language evolution na syang nagpapayabong ng tradisyon o kultura sa isang komunidad, hindi ba't lalo lang bumabagal ang siste dahil sa pagdami ng di pagkakaunawaan?

    isang halimbawa ng isang matagumpay ng kultura ang Japan. isang wika, aba talagang maunlad na bansa. wala pa akong narinig na language barrier na nage-exist sa Japan, at wala pa ni kahit isang patunay na ang maraming wika ay nakakapagpapaunlad ng bansa...

    sa aspetong kultural, maaari.. pero sa aspetong pang-ekonomiya, hindi siguro...
