for Bpi its 10k ,80% lang nun ang credit limit ng card mo but you can add more hold out deposit anytime if you need to increase your limit.

Anyone who knows about SCC in EastWest? Paki-confirm kung totoong separate sila at 6 months muna *** timedeposit bago makuha or makakuha ng card?

    guys newbie here...

just want to ask i had credit card when i was still 18yo, im now 25 in metrobank, we have, our whole family, a savings account in metrobank and remittance world card from my mom cause she's abroad, that was since 2000 till now... i was just asked by the teller if i want credit card then, i said yes and i was approved after 2wks i was so young then and realy dunno how to use credit car... so to cut the story short i splurge and all... wasn't able to pay the credit... the exp date of he credit card was 2009... till now im not sure if it is outstanding or what... but the dorm where i live before that time isn't receiving any letters from them...

    question is:::

how long will you be listed in the so called "blacklist"

and if i will apply for a secured card in BPI, cause thats where i have my savings account now my account in metrobank has been dormant fro years now but still active... will it be possible that my applicatio will be denied?

    Thanks...

I think being blacklisted for unsettled cc is for lifetime, you just have to secure a certification if you have already settled it for future use like applying for another cc. if secured cc naman ang gusto mo maapprove ka dun kase guaranteed ang bank ng deposit mo but if you decided eventually to request for release of holdout with card retention dun ka pwedeng madeny.

since 2010 pa *** metrobank card ko. ok try mag apply. I appreciate your response.

    Thanks

Hi everyone! I am planning to avail of a secured cc. I am thinking of BPI or Metrobank. What do you think? This will be my first cc, so ask ko lang how does credit limit work? I'm thinking, if mag-TD ako ng 10,000, I will only have 8,000 cr limit which is very small. When will it be replenished? Right after ba I paid it all? Thanks! Please help.

I'd go with BPI. Ok lang din naman ang MetroBAnk. Sa credit limit, tama ka. marereplenish lang sya everytime you make a payment. Halimbawa, 8k ang CL mo. then you spent 7K. What happens is 1K na lang ang available CL mo. It will stay that way, as long as hindi mo sya binabayaran.

    Hi guys,
While waiting for my BPI regular CC application, I'm thinking of applying a secured CC with BPI as plan B. (By the way, this will be my CC ever. Hehe) Well I plan to deposit 25K as collateral. My one concern here is, do I get the same benefit as regular CC holders do? Like in terms of card acceptance by various establishments, online booking, installment payment? And, will these be also VISA or mastercard? TIA!

Thanks for the info! Anong advantage ng BPI over Metrobank?

Hi guys, been following this thread for some time now. Parang dati may naitanong na rin ako about BPI credit card retention pero di ko na mahanap (di ko rin alam kung dito or sa BPI Users Thread). Anyway. January pa ako nagapply for retention, and May na wala na kong balita. Di ko na rin naman kasi nakulit yung branch at nagpalit pa sila ng manager. Ang tanong ko ay puwede kaya ako magapply for credit card retention to get my money or part of it sa TD ko? Mag mamature nanaman yon this July and I am not so happy sa 2.25% kasi hamak na malaki kikitain nung pera kung sa MESALA ko ihuhulog.

about sa replenishing ng CL ng secured cc.. for example may secured cc ako na may 10K CL..ginamit ko yung 8K.. so 2k na lang yung limit ko di ba? Then nagbayad me ng say 3k dun sa balance due ko na 8k.. what will happen? Magiging 5K ba CL ko or need ko muna bayaran LAHAT ng balances before magrepelnish ang CL ko?

Another question po: Sa BPI secured CC pwede po ba ako magopen as SA account (iwan ko lang yung passbook sa bank) then pag nag deposit ba ako dun, instantly magincrease din ang CL ko? Thank you

Anyone knows kung pwede 'yung BPI SkyMiles Mastercard (hindi 'yung Platinum. hehe) as a secured CC?

I read the whole thread and if I remember correctly 'yung Blue Mastercard, Edge, at BPI-Petron ang karaniwang offered for secured CC... (Ang dami kong binasang threads about credit cards, baka nagkahalo-halo na... hehe)

    Thank you!

pwede. check mo nalang sa bank kung may required minimum hold-out deposit yung SkyMiles Mastercard.

Nung kumuha ako ng BPI - Blue last year, tinanong ko pwede ba ako pumili ng kahit ano and the bank representative said "yes, as long as you meet the required minimum hold-out deposit"*

    * I can't recall the exact statement that was said to me but that's how I remember it.

Thank you! Parang mas gusto ko kasi ng miles rather than reward points... (pero parang ayos lang 'yung blue. hehe)
That is, if pareho ng perks ang secured at ang unsecured CCs. Like, 'yung mga points...

May points ba kahit secured CC? Hehe.

Oo naman, a secured CC works just like a regular CC, the only difference is you're credit limit on a secured CC will depends on your holdout deposit.

  19. #579
^ Thank you for the quick reply!

Try ko lang mag-secured CC. Parang di ko pa carry ang regular CC. Hehe.

Makakapag apply po ba ako SCC sa Metrobank (M free Mastercard) and EastWest Bank (Platinum MasterCard) ?
