kasama ba ang coaches and staff sa cap?
ritualo 350K? yan ang kalokohan ehhehe. maniniwala ako na 2 players lang per team ang nasa max pay, pero karamihan dyan below 200 na lang.
cardona 350 kaagad?
Unless you have proof of the actual amount--which I think nobody has--this is a presumptuous discussion based on speculative numbers.
The enlisted salary of the players is not true. To the thread starter, I know that you know that all the salary was not true. Like Asi Taulava, Danny Seigle, Mark Caguioa, Renren Ritualo etc. was earning 800k-up per month. In short, the salary cap is true.
renvic - ano kamo? naguluhan ako.
baka sinasali nya yung under the table deal.
can someone shed some light on 'under the table deals'? endorsements dont count as under the table deals... i know sta lucia offers a house and lot to some of its marquee players... what does ginebra offer? a lifetime supply of gin?
I think you're referring to the "Side Contract".
Its a common pratice now in the PBA.
The UPC(uniform players contract) is the only official contract that the PBA honors. There were 3 copies, one for the Team, one for the Player & the other for the PBA office.
Its a Contract Agreement between the Team & the Player. It is were the Commissioners Office based the Salary Cap of any teams.
The Side contract is an additional agreement by the Team & the Player only. The League doesnt honor any agreement stipulated on the Side Contract.
If ever a need arises that the League will have to be in the middle of a contract dispute between the Team & the Player, the League will only defer to the UPC submitted by the Team to the PBA.
By the way, would you believe that till now, Willie Miller hasn't signed a contract renewal yet?
Miller, his manager & the Alaska management had a Make or Break meeting earlier this afternoon.
Miller received a maximun monthly salary on his previous contract & was asking for a little consortium on the Business side.
How about Coke's players' salaries? Anyone who would have an idea on that?
Sorry Mali ako. In short, the salary cap is not true.
@The Godfather, Danny S. Asi Taulava both earned 1M a month. And to Ritualo, he's salry range to 800-1M per month. If you notice, si Ritualo yung nasa RTL ng TnT than to Alapag and Taulava.
And if you analyzed the enlisted salary of TnT and SMB, parang nakakaloko. Like Taulava and De Ocampo. Danny S and Larry Fonacier. This 4 player earned 350k per month. And do you think that is fair to Taulava and Danny S? Di ba?
any updates now?
Apparently, San Miguel is exempted from this rule.
USTE LO MEJOR!
VIVA SANTO TOMAS!
Formality lang yang salary cap. What attract players are the perks and bonuses. Dun nagkakatalo talo yan.
Oo nga eh. Yung ibang team kasi puro all stars ang players nila pero hinde pa rin sila over the cap limit. Sa PBA kasi meron under the table sa NBA kasi mahigpit sila sa pagpapatupad ng rule na yan.
