Some articles say that a possible move is expected for Eto'o, Thuram, Henry and Gudjohnson as well besides from Deco.

What will happen now to Barça?

I love what Deco said though that he's only looking at a transfer to Italy or England coz he wants to join a club that has the same quality as Barcelona. He added that the only club at par with FCB in Spain is Real Madrid but he won't ever join Madrid... atta boy!

Et'o, Thuram, Deco and Gudjohnsen are all ready to leave Barca.. hing is, it seems that the club is ok with it.

    here's another one:

    Giovani nears Spurs switch
    Tottenham close on Barca starlet

Giovani Dos Santos is on the verge of completing a move from Barcelona to Tottenham Hotspur after a basic agreement was reached between all three parties.

The 19-year-old Mexico international could join the Premier League side as early as Monday according to Sport after Barca accepted an 8million euros (£6.2million) bid.

That fee may rise to 11million euros (£8.6million) depending on both Dos Santos and Tottenham meeting specified targets during his four-year stay at White Hart Lane.

    Deal close

Dos Santos's father, Zizinho, admitted that his son is proud and excited by the thought of moving to such a prestigious club as he told Mexican daily paper, Record, that a deal was in the offing.

"Nothing has been finalised," he said. "But it is an honour that a club as important as Tottenham want to sign Giovani, but nothing can be said officially yet.

"The ambitious project that Tottenham have has excited Giovani and he just wants to go there and help the team in any way he can.

"It is obvious that leaving Barcelona is a risky decision, but with his qualities it appears that it could be the best option for him."

Spurs boss Juande Ramos was keen to land the starlet because he strongly believes that his pace, ability to break into the area and shooting ability make him perfect for the English game.

Although a deal has not been finalised, Dos Santos' agent, Pini Zahavi, and Barca's sporting vice-president, Marc Ingla, believe that there will be few problems in reaching an agreement.

Throughout the negotiations, Dos Santos - who is also wanted by Manchester City - has been undergoing treatment to recover from a an operation that he had on his ankle in the middle of May and is set to keep him out of action for another four weeks.

    There goes Giovani

Barcelona have confirmed that Giovani Dos Santos has signed for Tottenham.

The 19-year-old Mexican international has signed a five-year deal at White Hart Lane and will officially move to White Hart Lane on 1st July.

Spurs will pay an initial 6million euros (£4.7million) for Giovani with the fee possibly rising by another £3.9million depending on appearances.

Barca will retain 20 per cent of the financial rights to any possible transfer of the player during his first two years in North London and ten per cent thereafter.

Giovani, son of former Brazilian international Zizinho, came through the youth ranks at Camp Nou and he has Spanish citizenship so does not require a work-permit to play in England.

The player is currently sidelined after being operated on for a floating bone in his left ankle on May 19th, but is expected to recover within a month.

Tottenham held off stern interest from a number of clubs, including Premier League rivals Manchester City, to seal Giovani's signature.

The Catalans are riding high with the season moving to the second stages. They have set the record for the highest points won during the first part of the season (53 Pts), also on average, they are scoring at least 3 goals per game (4 goals/game in Camp Nou, 3 away).

    Another win today.

That Dani Alves is simply a joy to watch.

Kakainis yung Solar. Puro live coverage ng golf pinapalabas. Tapos yung La Liga delayed telecast. Lagi tuloy akong napapanood sa justin.tv. Forget golf!

Yan ang prob talaga since footy is not that popular sa atin. Ganyan din prob ko when I was there.. buti ngayon, I get all the footy I want sa cable namin. Sometimes we get to watch 4 - 5 simultaneous EPL games pag tapos nun La Liga naman + Liga Calcio and twice a week ata yung Portugese league.

And I do agree that Dani Alves is playing very nice this season.

Miracle goal on the 93rd minute by Andres Iniesta lifts the Catalans over Chelskie!

I was able to watch the Copa del Rey final on TVE channel 73, pero delayed nga lang. Napanood ko na sa justin.tv yung strem kahit na may lag.

Kakaawa si Gudjohnsen at si Hleb dun sa title celebration. Parang walang gana dahil nababangko lagi.

Dani Alves has been off with his crosses and free kicks recently. He needs to step his game up.

And Bojan needs to play in the Champions league final.

    nagpapalabas yung TVE?

naalala ko dati cinommercial yung World Cup qualifier match ng Spain... kaso nde ko naman alam kung anong oras dito yun... sayang...

Barca has been quiet this transfer season so far.

Fans overreacting that we have not been able to sign anyone while Real Madrid have bought CR7 and Kaka.

I'm not worried because in my opinion, we still have the best midfielders in the world in Xavi and Iniesta. They just don't have the hype that Kaka has.

What I'm concerned about is the contract situations of Eto'o, Yaya and VV. Eto'o wants e10m, Yaya wants a significant raise, and VV wants e9m.

I say offer Eto'o a raise that will put him on the level of Henry's pay scale and hope he agrees, and give VV that Xavi/Iniesta/Puyol money, which is about e4-5m a year. VV is big game keeper that the Spanish Federation has been underrating by picking Pepe Reina in front of him.

Yaya is said to be close to signing. It would be a mistake to lose him because he has the potential to be the best defensive midfielder since Patrick Vieira.

I guess this is the downside of winning every competition: everybody wants a pay raise.

The Yaya was said to be close to signing, but still hasn't put pen to paper. His agent has now set a deadline for the new contract.

Still no new developments regarding Eto'o's contract situation.

Then, negotiations between Barca and VV's camp regarding Valdes' new contract have been put off. Barca are now looking at Sebastian Frey, Sergio Asenjo and Pepe Reina.

Indeed, silly season is upon us.

BTW, the 09/10 goalkeeper's shirt looks good. I'm still planning to get one, no matter who is between the sticks for FCB this coming season
