thanks, how about sa casual shoes, do you think the gola classics "khan" is okay:
a double post, but i can't find the delete icon...
Sorry I'm not liking those, I've never been a fan of black casual shoes in that style.
I prefer more colourful casual shoes like Vans or Common Projects.
Black shoes should be reserved for more formal occasions.
gucci, tods, prada, ferragamo & adidas Y3 (yes, adidas has awesome leather shoes designed by yohji yamamoto) - great choices if your budget allows it.
go to gucci, or tod's if you're looking for a nice pair of loafers or driving shoes. go to prada or ferragamo for your dress shoes. check out Y3 also. they have one awesome looking dress shoe this season.
cole haan, zara, tyler or carbon are great choices if you're budget is quite restrictive.
personally, im a loafers/driving shoes/sneakers type of guy so my nod goes to gucci, tod's and Y3.
For the budget conscious, take your pick from:
Rockport - 4k up
Bass - 4k up
Dexter - 5k up
Geox - 5k up
Kenneth Cole - 5k up
Dr. Marten's - 4k up
Kickers - 3k?
I would say these are worthy of the price because they are durable and classic in design. Like I've said, my 2 Dexter penny loafers lasted 10 years with only the sole replaced once!
Personally, I wouldn't buy the Zara shoes because they look uncomfortable and not really durable. Plus, they're expensive. But for fashion statement, sure go ahead. And try the Marks & Spencer one that goes for P7,000.
hey what about bruno magli...
i think their the best, well if not one of the best...
Bruno Maglis are good. Not available locally though. Cinderella used to carry it years ago...
Well, for me Testoni and Moreschi are better than Bruno.
Sergio Rossi too.
^ Yup. The reaction is in their more affordable line.
I bought these shoes - the Adrian model - in 2006 at Bradford Shoes at the Mall of Asia, 2nd floor, above Ace Hardware. (They have another branch at the 4th floor of The Block.)
The Adrian shoes are made of real leather, look very classy, and are wonderfully comfortable. Heck, they've lasted me more than a year with little signs of wear and tear. Here's the best part: they add 4 inches in height! LOL My normally 5"6 1/2 frame is suddenly 5"10. Hahaha!
Best leather shoe investment I've ever made, bar none.
I was indeed referring to Kenneth Cole Reaction, since I already mentioned that the Kenneth Cole New York line is not available here.
yup try rockport and bass. they have good quality shoes. they have stores in major shopping malls in metro manila. happy shoe-searching!
Never pa akong nasiraan ng shoes dahil hindi ako naglalakad ng malayo. So okay lang sa akin yung local brands. In light of that, I just bought a pair of locally made chelseas for about $40. LOL. Nakakuha pa ako ng 10% discount on all my future purchases. Gotta love the natives. :-)
any new leather shoes styles?
Maganda design ng Zara kaso not durable, just as mrpathetic mentioned. I had a pair before, lasted me 3mos lang! And I've never walked long with them. Minsan ko lang ginagamit.
Rockport okay, kaso recently pangit yung leather nila. I'm wearing a limited edition now, mga 7K sya. ok leather kaso yung wood ng sole starting to chip off na. there must be something wrong with my pronation.
ok ang Jarman, local brand. and Bristol.
Florsheim ang mahal dito. Mura lang sila online. may sale pa nga ngayon. check nyo.
Tip: buy Florsheim or any item you want through http://pobox.ph. Fill up the request a quote form. Lagay nyo dun URL ng item na bibilhin nyo, size, color, etc. Then they will send you an email kung magkano nila bibilhin. May 5% markup sila sa checkout price. Then you'll deposit the payment sa BDO/Unionbank account nila. Text or call them to inform them na you've paid na, then they will buy the item for you. Then they will ship it to you here sa Pinas. You can buy as many items as you want. Shipping ranges from $30 (a box with dimensions less than 43") to $70 (26" x 22" x 17"). Ginagawa ko iniipon ko items ko then if gusto ko na magpaship, i tell them. They will tell me which box fits my items, and then il pay them. You have to wait a month nga lang from the time they ship it from the US to Manila.
If you want faster (but more expensive) shipping, use Johnny Air.
Wala pala ako commission from either pobox or Johnny Air hehe. Pero reliable yan. Your payment is inclusive of custom fees (import duties and taxes).
Teka lang magshoshopping pa ko.
Ay eto pala preferred brands ko: Jarman, Bristol, Rockport, Bally, Florsheim, Allen Edmonds, Church's, Cole Haan, Kenneth Cole, Steve Madden at Bruno Magli.
i know of another site which sells branded men's shoes - http://theshoecompany.multiply.com
the prices are fantastic, so i bought a pair of steve madden for my hubby... compared to buying here in the stores, they are a lot cheaper... they also have women's shoes on-stock...
i have also inquired about the pre-order services they offer since im planning to buy leather shoes for my dad as well... i'm planning to buy florsheim since it is a lot cheaper in the US...
Can you guys recommend durable black shoes (will be used 4 days a week) priced at 3 to 4K? Thank you.
