the first one's a chelsea, halos lahat naman ng shoe store meron ganung design. kahit sa sm meron.

the second one, merong exactly ganyang design ang tyler (3400php) around 2month's back. i have it, kaya lang in camel. meron ang zara (5400php) ng black pero one buckle only at alam ko, may cap sya. just like the pic.

Meron sa TriNoma, if you're near to that mall. Sa level M2. I think me branch sila sa Glorietta and SM Megamall pero not so sure about it. When I bought my shoes there, meron silang sale kaya sulit.

Why did you have to buy it in the states? There are a handful of Kenneth Cole stores here. But then it's about as appropriate to ask me the same question. But then again, nobody sells Zengara around here.

About the size, it's the first time I'm buying shoes online. And the first time I'm buying boots as well. I haven't gotten the shoes yet, so I can't tell you about the fit. Will update you when I get the pair.

I have the exact pair pictured on the right... yes, from Zara. Double monk strap but without cap, and they do have it in dark brown/oak color. I was surprised also because I've been seeing this the past months in black. Would have preferred to have gotten it in black but I have no complaints---got it during the sale for P2,960 from original P6,000+. I'll try to post a pic later.

ang sosyal na mga brands dito. i recently disovered BRISTOL shoes. gawang-marikina yata sya. most of the shoes are less than 2k and nice ang designs nila. ok yung mga leather soles, yung mga pwedeng pang-formal occasions talaga, around 2,200 lang. wagi!

I saw this shop at MOA, Pedro. They have the monk strap shoes but it's quite expensive: P5,000 for a Singaporean brand.

I was lucky to buy a Cole Haan for just P5,000 in Hong Kong. It's selling for P13,000 here.

    Geox has nice looking shoes.

Kenneth Cole New York had better looking shoes than the Reaction line. But they're no longer available here, probably too expensive already.

Bass, Dexter and Rockport would be good investments: durable and comfortable. My 2 pairs of Dexters were with me for 10 years before I gave them away to make way for new ones. Mind you, when Besa's saw my shoes, they thought they were just a few years old.

Sebago and Clark's are quite expensive already. Considering they were in the same league as Dexter's then.

My advise: go buy a good pair because a cheap pair can affect your posture or your walking habits.

kenneth cole reaction is still available in the phils... go to rustans makati...

theres kenneth cole new york at powerplant...

i saw this shoe shop at glorietta (near the restroom, near lacoste shoes), singapore-made, maganda ang mga design...sleek at sophisticated...so unlike our Mendrez...

    at mura pa!!!

i used to like kickers but panget na design nila ngayon...

know what, the only local brand that i like (when it comes to leather shoes) is ALBERTO...

its marikina made but the materials are imported ...
they have shoes that costs 6k, o diba!!! lumelevel sa mga foreign brand!!!

i also have florsheim...its pang matanda ang ibang style nila but you just have to be very picky when shopping for shoes there...

but the best talaga para sakin ay kenneth cole...ah yes calvin klein din pala...

Okay, just found out the shoes aren't gonna happen. Parcel came this morning and found myself being charged customs duties more costly than the pair themselves.

Anyway, I think I'm in the same position as the starter of this thread. I'm looking for leather chelseas that don't cost an arm and a leg now, I guess.

Might try looking at department stores for local brands first. Are you really sure Mendrez is no good? How about Maphisto? I'm sure Rusty Lopez is just as bad as the name sounds.

Bristol is a department store brand. You'll find it at SM and Robinsons Malls.
