I'm also interested in working for embassies. At another forum, they have a thread on this. Seems interesting cause the pay is quite competitive plus its tax-free. They also don't have a preference on your course cause its mostly clerical work they have. Plus, on Fridays you usually work up to 2pm only.
Can anyone provide more information on embassy work? Or would you know of any openings? I'm mostly interested in clerical work. Even part time/temp jobs would do. Thanks!![]()
hi irkedyarn! what thread *** sinasabi mo? i wanna apply din sa embassy. Have you tried taking the foreign service exam? I heard it's really hard.
sa peyups.
if you're just going for a clerical position, no need for FS Exams. Like the girl who got in sa Canadian embassy, clerical lang, she's getting 28k tax-free. though its only a temp job, good for 45 days I think.
45 days lang ??? bkit?
i have a classmate na nagwwowork sa embassy of IRELAND.. astig nga e.. puro clerical nga lang daw pero embassy paren.. hehehe.. i'm not sure how much ang salary nya.. sympre confidential daw.. :P
hindi ko rin alam kung pano sya nagapply..
red_track: like i said, its just a temporary job. no full-time slots available.
mikki_pretty: ask him/her naman how pls![]()
anybody can help pano magapply ng part time sa mga embassies?
try calling, ask if there are vacancies. not all of them post these on their sites. pero i know the us and aussie embassy actually posts openings.
career-wise though its not as exciting cos the org structure's mejo flat.. but yeah tax-free ang sweldo and definitely better than if you're working in a private co. a clerk's sweldo here is a lot higher than a manager in a small private co.
How is it working in one of the foreign embassies in the philippines? Would love to hear from you guys. How is the application process? Salary? Benefits?
No Tax on your salary at maganda ang work life balance. Example if you are working on Canadian Embassy both Philippine and Canadian Holidays are non-working.
To name a few puntahan mo office nila ask from the personel department kung may opening sila

Any ideas on how I go about getting a job with the Canadian embassy in Manila?
I went to their website, but I can't find any links to a job section. Tried googling and looking up the main websites, but I still can't find any links to job postings. (Not even anything saying that there are no available jobs, hehe)
puntahan niyo na lang personally yung mga embassies and drop your resumes there.
