    competitive naman kaya? baka kasi konti lang ang difference sa entry level..anyway, thanks for the feedback. siguro mag-aapply na lang ako para malaman ko rin kung ok ba mag-work dito

    meron ako kilala n homegrown at galing sa labas

    c homegrown...cobol...after ng contract ang offer is only 25k gross (2 yrs exp)

    c galing sa labas...java...i think eh not less than 30k but not more than 40k...(less than 2 yrs exp)

    it's an agency.. they train people and then deploy them to other companies.. at bago ka ideploy interview pa ulit sa potential client. witholding tax lang ang bawas sa salary kung contractual ka. kung bata ka pa and no experience I suggest apply lang na lang directly sa ibang company na hindi agency at least you can get other benefits for a regular job.

    Mukhang may new opening sila ngayun for that position.

    Update naman kung competitive **** ba ang work i mean kung madami ka matutunan within that span of time.

    Hindi **** ganun kahirap *** exam logic lang naman un. Tska *** sinsabi nila na screening is baka un *** umayaw sa kanila dahil 2yrs ka **** na tali sa kanila unlike sa iba ay 1 year ***. Nakpag exam n kod2 at nkpag interview n nga ** sakin. Ang tanun ko *** kung worth it bau ng 2 years na iistay ko sa kanila??at may sinasabi sa orinetation na evry six months ay mag iincrease ka ng 1k. *** status ba na trainee is 2years kang trainee at hindi ka mareregular?? Paki clear naman po kung sinu man *** nakinig sa orientation *** pa kc ako kamuang muang nun nagorientation. *** ako alam mxado sa bonds at sa contracts. Pero ang sabi sakin dpat daw talaga afrt 6 months is dpat regular ka na. Hindi daw maganda ang contractual. Pa help **** sana

    Up ko lang po itong thread na ito. May opening kasi sila ngayon sa jobstreet. Hiring sila ng Java Programmer Trainee. Balak ko sana mag-apply. Ask ko lang po kamusta po itong company na 'to after a year? Salary? Ok ba ang training? Flexi time? Etc. Thanks.

    ayun agency daw talaga. pag sumahod ka sa pinag dalan sayung company nitong agency may cut sila sa sahod mo. siyempre may mga tax na kaltas pa. kung ako sayu yubby mag pa direct hiring ka na lang para sayung sayo sahod mo.

    I have a friend from SLI.

    Jave training for (4-6 months i think and with allowance) but 3 years bond (150k), with a 9k starting salary.
    Takenote the bond is not pro-rated. Kung 2.9 years ka na nag sserve then mag rresign ka, you'll pay 150k parin because its supposed to be a 3 year bond.

    They will let you sign a blank check which they can deposit to a bank with your name on it for 150k, if ever you do not finish your bond.

    SLi wasted so many opportunities for my friend, with the greedy terms in their bond and low starting salary.

    I think any agency (with training terms) would be ok compared to SLi.

    Their official website even has birthday greetings, it's very unprofessional.

    naghahabol ba sila dito pag nag awol ka ng di pa tapos contract? may kakilala ako contractual sya, 3 moths contract nya then di na sya pumasok after 1 week from start date. may bond daw kasi sya kahit 3 months lang

    Mukhang kakilala ko yung sinasabi mo ah. SLI ako at may teammate ako na 1 week lang tapos nag-AWOL. 3 months contract din. Na-"stroke" daw. hahaha. Hindi yata nila nahabol.

    Sa mga aplikante, kung may choice rin lang kayo, avoid agencies. Mas magandang mag-direct hire ka na lang. At kung mag-agency ka talaga, wag SLI. May bad experience ako rito.

    Mataas sila magpatong. Kumikita sila kasi may cut sila sa sweldo mo. Let's say 20k ang sweldo mo sa SLI pero 30k ang kinukuha nila sa client. So imagine, monthly may 10k sila na wala namang ginagawa. Ok lang sana pero may dirty tactics ang SLI. Sasabihin nila sa client mo na nagpapataas ka ng asking rate kaya ita-taas nila. Ikaw naman, sasabihin sa iyo na mataas daw yung asking mo at kung pwede pang ibaba. So magiging 18k ang sweldo mo tapos ang sisingilin nila sa client e 33k. Nalaman ko ito kasi nakausap ko yung manager ko sa client side. Sabi ko hindi naman ako nagpapa-taas ng rate at sabi niya na kaya naman nila yung unang asking rate ko. Madadaya talaga sila.

    Avoid SLI please. Pagkakaperahan lang kayo.
