New Pambaon Ideas for a gradeshooler..

    hi momsies!

my grade 1 son's baon usually includes hotdogs and pancakes coz that's what he's asking for every morning, but i wanted other ideas on what baon to make para naman maiba, but yung magugustuhan sana ng baby boy ko..if you have any suggestions im open with them..thanks!

Hi there! Try fried rice with veggies and scrambled egg (and some hotdog bits para magustuhan niya, hehe). Some other ulam na magugustuhan niya siguro:

    -Dried and shredded adobo
-Menudo with veggies and corn (para makulay)
    -Meatballs
    -Chicken nuggets
    -Corned beef with diced potatoes
-Sausages like longganisa, tocino and chorizo

Hello not a mom but a dad.

    Home made Fried Chicken.
Chop raw chicken, mix it with evaporated milk and bread crumbs (bread crumbs used in making tempura) add a little salt to taste then fry using Corn Oil.

Beef Nilaga. Though take beef in moderation for your kid. Mga 2 pieces lang actually isa lang dapat pero since kid naman yan ok pa ang 2 pieces matchbox size.

Soft Taco - Get some soft taco, put some Japanese mayo, Lettuce and cooked chicken. Kung makakain nya agad sa school nya iyon dagdagan mo ng kamatis. Pero pag hindi tanggalin mo iyong kamatis.

froshie true but it's difficult to prepare home-cooked meals everyday, especially early in the morning when everyone's rushing to get to work or school. Also, avoiding salt and preservatives means not giving the child anything that was cooked with ready sauces (mga Mama Sita and the like) or Knorr bullion cubes. At maraming pagkain ang hindi na masarap kapag lumamig at baka makalat, kaya hindi pwede ibaon ng Grade 1 na bata.

I agree that we should feed our kids fresh and unprocessed food as much as possible, pero kapag baon ang pinag-uusapan we also have to factor in convenience. Just make sure the other meals that the child eats at home aren't salty or filled with MSG/nitrates.

Dati I remember, mga binabaon ko, tortang giniling, fried chicken, tocino, bacon, ham, adobo, menudo, fried tilapia (himayin mo na lang if you want)

    Pwede rin de-lata like tuna

Hotdog pag tinanghali ng gising hehe!

haay miss ko tuloy mom ko, she used to prepare my baon kasi until HIGHSCHOOL hehehe! *OT*

Sorry correction. Hindi Soft Taco but Pita bread.

@tina11 yeah ok lang naman iyon sinabi mo maybe ang point ko lang as much as possible to prepare the food always at home. Prepare food = iwasan ang mga ready to eat, or iyong madaling iprepare na food katulad ng delata, hotdog, tocino, longganisa.

    tina11 & froshie1:

thanks for the info, you both have a point.
its difficult nga to manage between convenience and serving healthy foods especially for a grade 1, coz mapili talaga sila as in.
though my son eats veggies also pero pili lang, but thanks for the new pambaon ideas na binigay nyo..i will talk to my son about these new suggestions baka nga may magustuhan sya.

icee_star: hi, oo nga eh, if i could only remember yung mga binaon ko
when I was small then, hay.. kaso i cant..pero thanks for the info.

    tina_11:

I asked CJ if he likes sandwich kaso ang sagot nya yes mama pero hotdog din ang palaman..huhuhu

Hehe mahilig talaga sa hotdog ang anak mo no? Why don't you try an omelette with lots of hotdog bits, yun ang ipang-sandwich niya. Then unti-unting bawasan mo yung hotdog bits and replace them with something healthy like cheese or tomatoes.

Hi there. i just want to ask for help. im not a mom yet but im the one who's taking cae of my grade 4 cousin. im having trouble with her baon especially her recess. i dont want to give her junks like cupcakes (lemon square, fudgee bar). i prefer sandwiches

  20. #20
My kids take cut up celery, carrots, granola bars, few pieces of grapes, any fruit na di naiiba ang kulay after a while sa container.

matagal tagal din bago sila nasanay kumain ng ganito sa school.my rule is "either this or nothing".
