how to be a wedding planner?

hi! i just want to ask the wedding coordinators on how they first started their biz? i'm actually a fresh graduate and i am seriously considering a career in wedding planning. are there any seminars, training or short courses that are being offered? I've been planning and organizing parties for my friends all through out college, and currently, i am helping out my US based cousin in planning her wedding here in the Phils. I know i have the ability and the inclinationg of becoming a wedding planner, but i'm sure i need a proper training to be a very good one. hope you can help me i am really really interested.. thanks a bunch!!

I should have read this before. On September 15-16, 2007 the Philippine Association of Wedding Planners just conducted Basic Wedding Planning and Coordination Seminar in Edsa Shangrila and i was able to attend that wonderful seminar. The speakers are also professional (elite) wedding planners themselves and they're great!
