Akisha, you need to provide a certificate of employment, ITR and some docs to prove that you're working here and may babalikan ka dito. Kasi thats what TECO needs to see so they can give you the visa.

ay grabe taiwan is my next destination dying to see taipei and ying de academy (meteor garden feak here) wishing also to see f4 (again) and mike he in the flesh hahaha
Hi! I got the chance to visit Taipei with my sister last November. We got our return tickets already before I applied and secured our hotel reservations. Getting the tickets was a very big risk since it was non-refundable.
My sister is still a college student and I am already employed.
I applied for the visas myself and it was very convenient since my office is in the tower 2 of RCBC Plaza, while TECO is in tower 1. When I got to TECO, it was very intimidating at first since all the travel agents were friendly with the TECO personnel. I thought my chances of getting a visa was slim since I had to do it myself. The lady who attended to me was very nice. She asked me if I was Chinese and if I had a Chinese name. I actually am half-Chinese, half-Filipino, but told her that I only used my Chinese name in school. She insisted I put it on the application. I'm thinking that helped.
Also, I submitted my COE, ITR, bank statement (I smiled when I looked at your bank balances because mine at that time was just x,xxx!), then a copy of my premiums/dollar investment with a financial company, passport (very clean... this was my first trip!), e-ticket (return trip), hotel reservation confirmation e-mail and the application form. I think the ticket would help a great deal. Also, if the lady also told me I could have photocopied the front of my ATM (since my bank acct was an ATM acct) and/or credit card. But I didn't have time to do it then. I paid extra to have it processed for 1 day (1,200 per visa) and was very happy when the visas were granted.By the way, the extra payt for rush service will be paid only if you are granted the visa.
Stayed there for 4days/3nights and IMO it's not enough! So many sights to see, so little time! Hope this helped a bit.
TsunTsun08: congrats! nakakuha ka ng visa. My friends are planning to visit Taiwan this August. Maganda ba talaga sa Taipei? Marami bang murang mabibili like sa Hong Kong? Where did you stay? Sorry dami ko questions
I love love love Taipei. I wish to go back next year to study Mandarin/Huayu. Maganda talaga sa Taiwan. And maraming mura dun, basta you know where to go. Try going to Shihlin Night Market (or Xilin, not sure) and naka-hilera ang mga shops dun. I got a jacket/blazer at NTD100 lang, which is like 140 pesos that time. Then fashion-forward din sila, so maraming magagandang stuff that you can buy there.
Also, there's this building in Taipei (sorry the name escapes me) that has all four floors filled with electronic gadgets from mp3/mp4 players, to cellphones, cameras and laptops. And they're super cheap!
If you like the Taiwan dramas, like I do, might as well go to the places they shot their dramas. Like Taipei 101 for ISWAK. Basta take lots of pictures!!!
We stayed in Holiday Inn East Taipei, which is in Taipei County na. It's just 10 minutes from downtown Taipei, and they offer complimentary scheduled transportation to Taipei 101. I work for the InterContinental Hotels Group and I get employee rate for Holiday Inn, kaya go lang kahit malayo! Hahaha!
Good luck sa trip mo, don't forget to try the oyster omelet and the stinky tofu!![]()
prEttyNdisTress & TsunTsun 08, Can you guys give me an insight how much would it cost for me & my wife for 4days & 3nights?
Should be everything from hotel to food and rooming expenses.
I'd love to visit Taiwan maybe next year on my next R & R, coz' this June me & my wife will visit Hong Kong, although I've been to HK for a couple of times, but my wife, it's her first time.
So, I'm planning January next year should be Taiwan.
I will appreciate a lot!![]()

Anong mga ok na tourist spots sa taiwan? yun mga may scenery...
we got ours 2 weeks lang binigay. we just submitted original birth cert, bank statement joint account pa yun with BF 68K lang ata yung laman nun bank hehe, employment cert, tapos *** ITR namin ng 2007 and 2008 until march 2008 lang. first time ko kaya ininterview pa kami dalawa. si BF twice na nakapunta dun.
ask ko pala.. possible ba na next application ko bibigyan na ako ng 1 month?
meron na pala interview sa Taiwan visa?
last March they gave me 60 days, then this month when I applied again 30 days naman but no extension...I guess ok na yun...
i got a 14 days tourist visa last june 13. I just submitted ITR, employement cert, bank cert and original birth cert and my passport with the duly filled application form. xerox all your requirements kasi need yun. ibabalik nila sayo yung ITR at birth cert mo na original. the rest kanila. after 3 days ok na visa ko. the 3rd day kasi ininterview ako kaya naging 3 days dapat 2 days lang.
Kanina nagpass uli ako ng application for tourist visa. bukas ko maclaclaim same requirements lang din pinasa ko..
I really don't know, last march they gave me 60 days w/o the annotation "no extension" then this month 30 days lang but with annotation "no extension"...
siguro kaya itong recent application ko eh they gave me 30 days na lang is bec last time 3 weeks lang ako nag stay doon..so they could have thought na hinde ko na kailangan ng mahabang stay...
the usal requirements..ITR, bankbook, car registrations, land and house titles, etc..
I don't know maybe I have a valid US, CAN and OZ visas...maybe yun ang tingin ko, I thought if these western countries gave me visas bakit hinde Taiwan? yun ang tingin ko...
alam ko walang interview talaga ang Taiwan eh...first time I heard about being interview for Taiwan Visa...
