it's still music one for me kahit na mas maraming products ang tower, homey kasi sa m1 glorietta. odyssey is a copycat!!!!!!!

I like Tower One more. Music One is okay as well, and pretty convenient for me since I always park in Park Square II, on the third floor where a bridgeway leads to the arcade place, and ahead, Music One.

Music One - mas mahal ang mga cds
    Tower Records - maraming choices
Odyssey XL - pwede na rin

But if u want hard to find imported cds...

    Go to CD Warehouse....

Tower Records and M1.... Odyssey xl is okei din lang naman eh... actually lahat is okei naman eh... mas maraming choices lang talaga sa Tower...

    Depends on your musical tastes...

Mas maraming club/r&b titles sa Music One.
Kung rock/alternative/new wave go to Tower.
    Odyssey XL for most titles.

If all else fails... try the internet!

Tower for the sheer size of their collection.
Music One for letting you listen to the CDs before you buy it. Their choices are pretty good too, although a bit mainstream.
Odyssey XL is XL in space but XS in their goods.
CD Warehouse has hard to find stuff but their prices are horrendous!
    Sana mayroon Amazon Philippines.

I'm partial, Music One is our client. =)

seriously though, siguro mindset lang sa kin na una kong pupuntahan is Tower Records if I'm in Makati. Mas madaling puntahan.

Pero i live in QC, mas malapit ang Megamall so i go to Music One/Powerbooks.

I normally go to the place that's more accessible. I don't like Odyssey though. Bad service in a lot of outlets...masusungit yung people.

mas ok ang tower records. mas mura as compared sa music one. sa mga rare/hard to find cds, try disc exchange at virramall at cd warehouse..

if your looking kung saan napakaraming pirated cds, go to Quiapo.... pirates haven

Wangie: Taga-Saatchi ka ba? May opening ba dyan?

  10. #10
Frankly, Music One is still my favorite, because of all the listening stations. Tower's good because of all the music lit (I get all my music info from books I buy there), but somehow, it doesn't appeal to me as much. More importantly, salespersons at Tower and Music 1 know their stuff. Odyssey XL? Have no respect for 'em, sorry. Their salespersons know zip about artists.

M1 is more appealing than the others, but Tower Record has more choices. Pero sa price, hindi ko napapansin na mas mahal sa M1.

i havent gone to odyssey xl, where is that?

  13. #13
me??? M1 coz it's easier to look for the cd u like...their crew knows exactly where the cds are located unlike in tower where most of the crew will simply tell u to look at the area(music type) for the cd ur looking for.

    Music One - the best.
Tower Records - many choices pero nakakahilo.

Odyssey - after witnessing how they rip jordan knight and 98 degrees fans off their money in megamall last nov 16, i will never buy there again!
they were like "oh u'll never be able to get 98 degrees/jordan knight to sign ur CD if u dont buy TODAY a copy of their CD or cassette cuz we would CALL ur number when its time for them to sign"
and i saw young people buying additional CD's and cassette just so they could get an autograph even though they already have a copy. and worse, those who came in groups have to buy a cd/cassette each. and in the end they just told people to go to the store for the autograph signing. that's it, the so called NUMBERS were disregarded. im so pissed off that night cuz im one of the gullible ones. IT'S SUCH A RIP OFF! I hate odyssey and i'm sorry i bought my mariah cd there!

ps. pls don't mind my looong outburst its just that ive been dying to post this since last night. *sigh*

Wangie: thanx for d tip! c u there!

Medyo pa-cool ang mga tumatao sa Tower. Minsan nakakainis, esp. that long-haired guy na madalas mag-air guitar.

music one pa rin... mas updated and maraming accessible branches at the same time.

    if hard-to-find CDs naman, CDWarehouse...

  17. #17
Music One kasi malapit sa Powerbooks (Megamall) kapag nagsawa ka na sa kakahanap ng CDs.
Okay din ang CD Warehouse because you can order CDs from them. Kaya lang the CDS there are kinda expensive. I don't know if that's because the CDS come from the States.

My vote goes to Tower Records, because they've got a HUGE selection of CDs and they're cheap. Music One is okay, they've got a good selection too, but it's not as large as Tower's and their prices are steeper.

One negative point about these two is that other than the crew standing behind booths and counters, it's hard to tell who to ask for assistance with the ones that roam around.

These 2 stores are the best for me since I'm notorious for wanting non-mainstream CDs and I usually go on long and elaborate searches for the music I want, and I've mainly found them in CD Warehouse, M1 or Tower.

Odyssey just sucks, for lack of a better term. I remember a time I was looking for Poe's album, and I asked a saleslady if they had "Poe". She raised her eyebrows as if to ask if I was sure about what I was looking for and queried, "Anong Poe? Poe Payters?" She then turned to her colleague and asked, "Meron ba tayong Pow Payters?" I then said, "Hindi ho Foo Fighters miss, Poe, as in P-O-E. Poe!" Surprise surprise, they didn't have it. Sheesh.

TOWER RECORDSSS!!!.....because the people attending to you really know what they doing...and they know what u are looking for...and also because it is only there where i find mucho indie releases...and some are cheaper!!

    Lightbulb

... except in Music One, one time,
in Megamall, I waited forever at the listening station because there is this guy who was so... aaaggh!

You know what would be great? If the music stores could sample their CD's into MP3 and put them into the kiosks... so they could have a greater selection.
