another question:
if i use the laptop all day, is it better if i take out the battery and plug it in directly?
vs having it plugged in all day with the battery inserted?
I would take it out. Nasira ang batt ng HP ko dahil naiwanan na naka-plug in overnight with the batt in it.
yes, it would be better if you take it out. nababawasan battery life pag all day naka plug in kasi hindi na nacha-charge/nadi-discharge
The last two posts are battery myths. The only reason it's good to take out the battery of a laptop is because of heat coming from the laptop, which decreases the lifespan. Furthermore, charge-discharge cycles in Li-ons only decrease the lifespan and do not increase it. This myth probably comes from the older battery chemistries where battery conditioning with charge-discharge cycles was still valid. Lastly, it is impossible to overcharge a Li-on even if you plug it in a laptop for a year. A high charge state (e.g. 98%) versus a lower one (like ~60%) will shorten the battery lifespan but it's pretty much impractical to keep the battery at a low charge. However if you plan to remove the battery and store it somewhere for a long time then it is best to do so at a lower charge state, ~60%, if I recall correctly.
Personally, I keep the laptop battery plugged in simply to guard against power loss/brownouts, especially during the rainy season. If I had a UPS I'd remove it.
^ 100% agree with Les.
I usually leave the battery on the laptop whether it's charging or not. Li-Ion batteries won't overcharge as it has a circuit to stop charging when full. The circuit also discharges the battery if you store for a long time.
Don't fully discharge Li-Ion batteries because the built-in circuit won't function properly. It causes the battery to malfunction and won't accept charge from the power adapter. Usually, they just replace the circuit to make the battery work again in case the cells are still in good condition.
Just make sure to cool the bottom of your laptop to lessen battery failure.
I've visited both places and both have a wide selection of laptops. I'm not sure how identical models are priced between the two places but it wouldn't hurt to canvass both places if really keen on getting the best deal.
before upgrading, check mo muna kung ano fequency ng memory mo. is it DDR3 or still DDR2. and is it 800mhz, 1066mhz or 1333mhz.
to check if 1st generation or 2nd gen, its gen na i3 or i5 3 numbers and code niya like i3 m380 or i5 m560.
second gen i3 or i5 has 4 number code like i3 2310m or i5 2410m
Look up Ubuntu or Linux Mint.
my mga owner ba ng dv6000 dito?? nasira na tong skin feeling ko hindi na to mag lalast pa ..
Having a genuine copy is always best, but in practical terms a pirated one (not fake, there is NO fake Windows) works just as well. You just need to remove the irritation called WGA.
This is another myth related to Windows. You can get Windows updates regardless if your copy is pirated. This has always been Microsoft's policy from the beginning and is still the one at present.
Genuine vs Pirated os?
