yeah. it was my prof who told me about it. she was also the one who told us to boycott it. i'm not sure if it was started by the school, but as far as i know, our class was told about it. i was in grade school then... totally gullible.

she even said that the president of the company was interviewed once and was asked what if the filipino people boycotted p&g products and the president answered with, "americans are not so religious."

Funny one was I was told that the pope's name added to 666.

that Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin sold their souls to the devil.

    Backmasking

    that "dancing sun". hahahaha.

    "Judel"

This was when I was 10 yata nauso mga 'to sa San Ago. They even showed us a film. Terrifying at that age. Looking back, tawa na lang.

The funny thing about that P&G thing is that it was reportedly started by AMWAY agents and it took off (sort of) here back when there was still no MLM. Unilever lang ang nakinabang.

It's still going on. Last time I got an email about P&G's Satanic connection was just about three years ago. It came from (you guessed it) a Born-again friend of mine.

Ay, wala palang bashing sa thread na ito, 'no? Sorry po.

Apparently, you cannot count on someone who calls themselves "prof" to practice critical thinking.

Well... didn't Jesus say that if you want to follow him you have to forsake family and friends? It is virtually guaranteed that if you stopped practicing oral hygiene and wore smelly unwashed clothes all day, your family and friends will forsake you faster than you can forsake them. Problem solved.

Ever notice how Amway and Born-again are so similar? Both operate on multi-level, cult-style brainwashing principles!

multi-level business makes me sick, multi-level business that also promote christianity makes me even sicker. oh yes, ive seen quite a bunch of those christian lunatics....oh and include insurance businesses too:

"life is short, believe in Jesus so that your soul goes to heaven, and sign in a life insurance to make sure that your family is well taken care of, get a free pocket calendar if you sign now"

but hey, everybody needs to make a living even in the most sickest ways

didnt they label the pagan ways as the SATAN's Ways.
from 666 to the pentagram to the mere definition/description of a devil...

i dont buy those vatican funded horror movies either...like holy water makes any difference. try using piss instead.hahaha

"thou shalt not bow to graven images"...spoken after the priest flashed his beloved crucifix.

Christians believe that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. But what prince of peace doesn't bring peace?

Luk 12:51 Think ye that I am come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Mat 10:34 Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

    Wrong prophecy from Isaiah.

So much lies have been fed into you guys and girls, no wonder you choose to abandon God and claim to be atheist. I guess it's better choice than to continue to feed from those lies.

And sure you can say the same about my religion and on how I feed from what you perceived to be lies, but unlike you, I left the lies to find the truth.

I grew up as a Catholic and I was an atheist for 8 yrs before I joined INC. Sure there are members who are plainly stupid and there are arrogant members too, but that's human nature and I've look pass that to find what I'm looking for. Unlike many people here who are anti-INC, all that matters to me is if the core belief is true. And knowing that members who are here are also working to reach perfection in their faith. So no matter what their personalities might be, they're my brethren in faith.

Many members are just like you, who thought that there are many "crazy and stupid" things that has been taught to them and left their religion in search for the truth. Many are still searching and many did simply gave up and call themselves atheist. It's a simple escape, just deny that God exist and we don't have to search anymore.

I share the same experience growing up as a Catholic, but even though I'm already part of the Church that I believe to be the true Church, I'm still searching for the truth, but over and over again, I find myself back here.

incsc: when you were an atheist for 8 yrs, you considered that as a form of "escape"?

  14. #34
^ I guess that's implied from his personal experience as an "atheist" as he probably wouldn't use such reasoning in justifying one's choice to be one.

I wonder what Judiel (the Lipa "visionary") looks like these days.

You had to bring this up? oh man.

I was walking around Podium looking down then these nice pair of boobies caught my eye. Nice tight shirt....cleavage..... then I looked at the face.

Yep. Judiel. She is a girl now.

"She" was from Agoo, La Union. Maybe what Judiel thought was the Virgin Mary was actually his homosexual persona speaking from his subconscious.

    Stupid Christian practices.

    1. Rosaries: BORING, senseless, and makes me like a stupid robot.

    2. Novenas: BORING, senseless, and gayish.

    3. Calling a priest "Father". duh!

    4. Confessions. 3 hail marys & 1 glory be, makes up for many transgressions? Thats so empty.

Forgive me if I don’t take your word for it.

Same here. But I just arrived at a different conclusion from you, that’s all.

Denying God doesn’t stop the process of understanding one’s own existence. As for myself, I didn’t become an atheist because I got tired of searching. I became an atheist because, considering the search that I did, it was the only reasonable conclusion. But the search to understand existence continues – and it’s far more fulfilling to do when you’re not limited by the idea of Heaven, Hell, or an Invisible Man in the Sky.

Good for you. This only goes to show that our personal convictions will lead us to different directions. But what worked for you will not necessarily work for everyone else.

I’m willing to admit that atheism isn’t for everyone. Can you say the same thing for your faith?
