Going back to work for the employer that you left from before.

Meron na ba sa inyo nakaranas ng ganito?

You left the company that you worked for years ago to work for another company or place. Now, you plan to come back to that same company.

Please share:
1) The reason(s) you left your the company (and work for a different one).
2) The reason(s) you went back to the company.
3) How welcomed/unwelcomed are you going back to that company.
4) Were there any sour experiences trying get back to the company? / What do you think they'd want you back?
5) Is this even possible?
6) What was your previous record/standing on the company BEFORE you left?

I need to hear stories from you people concerning this.

1. I needed a change.
2. I was invited back, and after thinking it over, I agreed.
3. Pretty welcomed. It's like I never left, hehe.
4. None at all. I don't see why. Not everyone who leaves, leave because of some gripe or what. Sometimes we just want to look for other opportunities. It's not like they should expect employees to work for one company all their lives. And if they leave, to never come back.
5. Why not? People have career goals and sometimes a competitor or some other place might seem more attractive. But once you make the jump, it might turn out to be the wrong move. So I don't see anything wrong with going back.
6. Excellent record. No problems at all. And I left on good terms which is why I was invited back and had no problems settling back in again.

In my case it's slightly different since I was invited back, but it should be no different if you initiate it. The key is to never burn bridges in the first place. As long as you leave with the proper decorum and with professionalism, there should be no problems going back. But if you just quit one day, without even giving notice and leaving a major workload - all because the competitor across the street was offering more, don't expect to be invited back with open arms. Or at all.

Ditto. The term is blacklisted.
