Hi guys! I'm a newbie here in PEx! Just a question, which is better in terms of energy efficiency savings and reliability: Electrolux or Panasonic or LG? Our Samsung side by side is already 10 years old, and maingay na yung motor niya sa likod ng freezer due to ice clogging daw (according to service tech namin). And it also has one of the highest electricity consumptions sa house namin.

LG has an inverter side by side but I don't know about it's reliability though. Panasonic naman, as per their Philippine website wala pang side by side inverter. Electrolux is a good brand pero wala pang inverter. Need your insights.

Does Electrolux have an inverter side by side refrigerator?

Edit: Saw it already. They have nga, pero ang labo ng description ng eco range sa website nila. I did not say that it is an inverter refrigerator.

How about Panasonic? Do they have an inverter side by side refrigerator?

Anyone have experience with LG side-by-side inverter refs? I just purchased one recently (it was a deal I couldn't resist) and so far so good. I was about to purchase the biggest Panasonic inverter (freezer at the bottom layout) but based on my parent's experience with theirs, in the first 6 months, they had to change the compressor. Panasonic's service was great though but their ref was on-off for a couple of weeks.

    I guess, this is relative.

We have a GE single door Ref bought in 1986. Till now gumagana at anglakas ng lamig.

In my new house, I bought a Samsung fridge na bottom freezer with 3 drawers. Drawered freezer talaga ang gusto for convenience.

I don't think they sell side-by-sides locally. All the inverters by panasonic here are the usual vertical 2 door.

Stay away from Condura / Kelvinator

Agreed...

Within 1 year, the door was starting to rust. After 2 years, the door fell off and needed expensive repairs. It has somehow lasted 4 years, but looks like it is 30 years old or more. The door is now irreparably damaged, with the whole hinge mechanism having rusted away. Its expensive too with electricity. Just trying to keep it going until I can save enough money to buy a better ref.
If it was half the price of the other brands I could maybe accept this, but it was only P1000 or P2000 cheaper than other brands.

yung gasket n Condura ref namin ok pa naman bought last 2004 pa, thermostat naka-warm pa lang nakakagawa na ng yelo but the only problem we noticed is the gasket sa door parang mahina na kumapit yung magnet nila.

I'm choosing between Samsung and LG for a 6-8 CF fridge. Costs around 15k but not sure which to get. And opinion here seem a little split - nothing stands out so I can't decide even after reading.

    Any new input?

Plan to buy a 6 cubic na semi... Im choosing between electrolux, ge (medyo mahal) at whirlpool... Ganda sana nung samsung pero nakakatakot, baka di tumagal...

  14. #254
any feedback on panasonic 2 door manual?

  15. #255
Bili ako this week.

Hindi maganda ang service ng electrolux. Yung ref namin nasira yung rubber gasket ng pinto 2 months ng naka report sa electrolux up to now hindi pa rin nila nare repair ang ref namin. Inuorder pa raw yung parts. Ang tagal nilang umorder ng parts!!!
