if for some reason you really need you passport to get stamped, (like you need to go on a business trip to other countries, or mag cruise sa bahamas, etc.), kailangan mo talagang umuwi para mag pa stamp.

or you can take your chances to have it stamped at a US embassy in Canada or Mexico para malapit lang. But ang risk is, pag hindi na approve ang stamping or ma delay, you'll end up stuck in those countries and kailangan mo na talagang umuwi ng Pinas from there.

Pero kung hindi mo naman kailangan ng visa stamp on your passport, you dont need to do it.

hi fellow pexers.. hope someone could help me in my queries..

i'm 25 years old, an RN but not practicing my profession, after I graduated and passed the board, I worked as an HR assistant in a manufacturing company for almost 3 years. A month ago, me and my cousin found an employer who would sponsored us to work in a nursing home. My cousin was offered to be a receptionist and me on the other hand is a nursing attendant. The employer said they are applying for H-1B visa for us. But then I found out na hindi pala applicable sa RN's ang H-1B. Ok lang ba if i applied for an office staff position instead? Kahit na graduate ako ng Nursing? Or madedeny ba yun sa interview kase graduate ako ng Nursing?

Please help.. Naguguluhan na din po kase ako.. Salamat po sa mga sasagot...

    Eto po nabasa ko lang:

Can I apply for any type of USA job - and still get issued an H1B visa ?
No. To get issued an H1B visa the type of job must be directly related to either the education or the work experience that qualifies the applicant for the H1B visa program. For example: if you have a qualifying degree or work experience in 'X' then the type of job required to get issued an H1B visa must be 'X' related (to get issued an H1B visa for any other type of job / profession would require having multiple H1B qualifications for multiple professions).

Pero, I don't think it matters, as long as ma prove mo na you are still currently hired ( by providing the needed documents ). You can apply for OEC by yourself or through another agency.

  8. #3688
sir pagpasok mo sa US port of entry dapat i-align mo yung gagawin mong activities sa visa mo. it seems like parang business trip lang yung gagawin mo kase part time lang kaya pwede yung b1/b2 visa. pero if you'll be paid in dollars (paid meaning taxable salary, not allowance) sa US company kelangan H1b ang gamitin mong visa. if in case, I don't think it's a good idea if sa Philippine airport ang sasabihin mong activity is business trip para hindi ka hanapan ng OEC, pero pagpasok sa US e H1B ang ipepresent mo.

It might work sa Philippine Immigration na gamitin mo yung B1/B2 para di ka hanapan ng OEC, as long na hindi makita yung H1B visa mo, or else, ma-kwe kwestion ka sa Pinas pa lang. You can just say na vacation lang ang purpose mo and make sure na may return flight ticket ka na maipakita.

But of course pagdating sa US immigration, ipakita mo kung ano talaga ang dapat mo ipakita

  12. #3692
hindi ba mas mahal yung ginawa mo, bumili ka ng round trip ticket instead of paying the crap fees that POEA imposes. anyway whatever you think works for you e di go. pag regional POEA office ka naman kuha ng OEC inde masyadong strikto, sa main office POEA sa EDSA lang nakakabuwisit talaga..

Currently on H1b visa expires June 30 2012 with a marriage to USC based AOS pending, AP and EAD still pending.

Tanong: Current employer has filed for an extension for 6/30/2012 to 7/1/2012 and I have accepted an offer from another employer that will file an H1b extension petition before the June 30 2012 expiry. The start date with the new employer is Aug. 1, 2012. Since we will be relocating to a different state, can I resign from my current employer 1 or 2 weeks before start date with new employer?

I've searched online, wanted other opinions. TIA!

You have several options when you have both H-1B and AOS pending. You may want to discuss this with your (not company's) attorney. Sorry to see your current employer spending hundreds of dollars to extend your status, then you quit so soon.

Many "ifs" to answer that question! If your current employer is extending your status to beyond 7/31/12, and if you are referring to "porting" before the new employer's petition has been approved, then a multi-week gap between employers is not a good idea. If the new employer's petition has been approved before 8/1/12, and IF the time between jobs is covered vacation time by the first employer, then a gap between jobs may be no problem. These situations are very case-specific!

If you are confident that your marriage-based adjustment will work, dropping your H-1B status will have no effect on your adjustment application. If the application was correctly filed and you receive your EAD, you can work with the EAD. As the spouse of a USCitizen, you do not have to be in a valid status to get residence.

Thank you, I have an opportunity that doesn't come along everyday so I have to do what's best for me and my family.

My current employer is only willing to give 2 days vacation which is about how long it takes to drive to the northeast. Back to the drawing board then. Thanks!

401K is voluntary. It is pre tax and most companies contribute dollar for dollar. I was able to get a loan for my mom's house in Pinas. Laking tulong talaga.

Hello.. sa mga H1B visa holder, are you considering getting a GC in the future?
Any idea on how long would it take for an H1B visa holder to apply for a GC
and the waiting time for your application to be approved?

    thanks..

H1B Visa Holder misis ko for 3 years and I was on an H4 Visa then. Physical Therapist wife ko and her EB3 Category petition sa kanya nung dati nyang Employer pero natapos na yung contract nya for 3 years hindi pa din nagiging current yung priority date nya. So naghanap ako ng New Employer para magfile sa amin ng EB2 Category which is current that time.
