Genre: Certainly NOT A HARDCORE BAND
Album released:

They're new.
When I first heard the song Yellow, I thought it was Radiohead. The song is excellent.

They have a new song out! I haven't caught the name of it though.![]()
Yeah, seen/heard Yellow, too. I like it. No, I love it! Looks like Coldplay are receiving the same kind of attention Travis got when they first came out. I hope this isn't their first and last good international release.
COLDPLAY- EXCELLENT!![]()

i believe that "trouble" is the new single.
the song "yellow" was just unbelievable. the lyrics just caught my attention and it was so deep. not to mention the catchy melody.
look at the stars
look how they shine for you
and it was all yellow
the video for "yellow" was simple yet so meaningful. it was realy nice.
i was browsing sa may Powerbooks sa Megamall tapos may pinatugtog na CD dun sa Music One. I heard the song "Yellow" so I knew it was Coldplay. Tapos pinatugtog nila halos yung buong album. i totally loved it and i wanted to buy the album right then and there. bumili nga ako, pero from the friendly, neighborhood pirated CD storei know, i know, ang sama ko, pero i couldn't help it, kelangan ko na talaga bumili!
Di ako nagsisisi, Coldplay is THE BEST band around today! Love Yellow and Trouble, tapos yung short and simple Parachutes. In fact, i think this is the first time na i bought an album tapos gusto ko lahat ng songs!
sana, by some miracle, mapadpad sila dito tapos tumugtog sila, kahit magkano tiket, uubusin ko savings ko!
COLDPLAY ROCKS!![]()
So parachute is a great album!
Are they comparable to Radiohead or Travis?
Well, i can only speak with regards to Travis. Yes, you can point similarities. One is that they both have contemplative lyrics with equally subduing melodies. Vocally, Chris Martin tends to go falsetto just as Fran Healey so there ends the comparison. There are more for sure but this is my sixpence worth.Originally posted by Abominable

Compared to Radiohead? Layo ata nun ah...though their debut single rocks![]()
I like "yellow" because it depresses me a lot!
OK sila... Like Yellow and Trouble. And I do hope, unlike Oasis and other Britpop bands, tumugtog sila dito.
Sana nga! I notice that they are a snub when it comes to Southeast Asia.
i love their songs, i love their album...it's great! nung una kala ko yung travis (i like this band a lot too!) ang kumanta ng yellow...
Coldplay is a cool band. their music is a good escape from hardcore music. their songs are mellow, cool, and somewhat relaxing. I like most of their songs especially "yellow" and "shiver." "yellow" is a very additive song coz once you hear it you want to hear it again all over. The only drawback is sometimes the songs get too slow and can sometimes put you to sleep. Personally, i like them better than Travis and Radiohead.

I found a strange similarity between Fake Plastic Trees and Yellow!
They have a new single called Don't Panic.
Recently bought Parachutes and I must say it's a good buy!
I really like the melancholy tone of the album
i love their songs
his voice is just so heartwrenchingly sad.
Bat nabasa ko sa gig guide ng channelv they went to Australia this or last month? Darn...
Well, great news for Coldplay fans. They won in two major categories from yesterday's BRIT Awards 2001--Best British Group and Best British Album. Yay!
