    sting's "desert rose" rocks.

what makes the song more appealing though is that the jaguar s-type uses it in its commercial.

    Right on!!! STING rocks!!!

He's one of my biggest muscial influences. I have the complete Police sets. All his solo albums. I have a bootleg collection of most of his works with the Police and as a solo artist and I just must say that his live recordings and collaborations show what a great musician he is.

I guess since I started the forum I might as well put what my favorite sting songs are...

    With the Police...

Can't Stand Losing You (1986 version)
Don't Stand So Close To Me
    Every Breath You Take
Every Little Thing She DOes Is Magic
    Invisible Sun
    Message In a Bottle
    Roxanne
    So Lonely
Wrapped Around Your Finger (you have to hear the Tori
    Amos cover of this! Galing!)

    As a Solo Artist...

    Englishman In New York
Why Should I Cry For You
    Shape of MY Heart
    Fragile
    Fields of Gold
If I Ever Lose my FAith
    Brand New Day
    Seven Days
If You Love Somebody Set Them Free

    His Covers...

    Be Bop A Lula
    Little Wing
    Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da
I Want It That Way (with the Backstreet Boys...quite
simply coz it shows you a different side of Sting)

I enjoy listening to Sting. He's one artist who puts so much time and effort in the songs he compose. His songs are a picture of his depth of thinking and his intricate artistry.Likewise when he went on solo, who could ever forget his drummer Vinnie Colaiuta who could smoothly play so melodically in a drum set and at odd-meter at that. My personal favorties are:

w/ the Police: Tea in Sahara
    Murder by Numbers
    King of Pain
    Synchronicity
    Wrapped Around Your Finger
    Every Breath You take

as a solo artist: Fields of Gold
    Valparaiso
    Seven Days
    Fragile
    Shape of My Heart
    Hounds of Winter
    Brand New Day
    Englishman in New York
I Was Brought to My Senses

shape of my heart & fragile.

what sucks about sting was that he performed "every breath..." with puffy and the gang.

jennifer lopez's beau really made a mess of that song!
