PADI’S POINT BATTLE OF THE BANDS MECHANICS:
1. Contest is open to all amateur bands with a minimum of 3 members.
2. All band members must be 18 years old and above.
3. Contestants may proceed directly to the branch that they want to participate in and obtain the registration form from the person in charge.
4. Contestants must pay registration fee of P200 per band member.
5. A participating band will be required to perform a cover song, an original composition and a self-composed Padi’s jingle.
6. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
Lyrics and Musicality 45%
Originality 20%
Stage Presence 20%
Audience Impact 15%
7. Eliminations will be held at the following branches on the following dates:
March 22 - Las Piñas
March 30 - Marikina
April 4 - Pampanga
April 8 - Caloocan
April 9 - Araneta
April 10 - Novaliches
April 11 - Alabang
Grandfinals will be on April 12, 2007 at Padi’s Point - Novaliches.
8. Elimination winners will advance to the grand finals and will be the official representative of the branch where they won.
9. Prizes include PhP30,000 in cash and kind for the grand winner.
