Kung may butas ang petrol tank siempre mag-evaporate o tutulo at malaki ang mababawas sa loob ng isang linggo ... COMMON SENSE lang po ito....

Gasoline is a highly volatile substance, it creates flammable vapour when placed in an enclosed container (i.e. fuel tank) and agitated (as in when driving). This vapour must somehow be vented or else pressure will build up inside the enclosed container (i.e. a potential bomb). This is the reason that all petrol tanks have vents inside, and an overflow tube in case one overfills the tank.

When one fills up full, do not top off (fill to the top of the filler tube), this is a dangerous situation (since gas can leak out from the filler overflow tube and catch fire) and can lead to a serious accident.

Even when sitting still there will be evaporation (evaporation point of gasoline is very low, room temperature in fact) in the form of gasoline vapour. As stated above, this vapour must be vented, thus if petrol is sitting still in the tank and the car is not used, you can experience a decrease in its volume.
