last year, my batch was tasked to have a play of different broadway, or musical shows. the other class, st. clare [06-07] did this and when i was watching their production, i really like the songs and also the story..

i saw this on broadway last year, when idina menzel was still elphaba and playing opposite her as fiyero was joey mcintyre (of new kids on the block fame). idina was really great in defying gravity. i loved the part where she was suspended in midair while belting out the last lines of the song and then there was total blackout on the stage signaling the end of act 1. awesome!

i loved most songs so i was planning to buy a cd after the show but my room mate got the cd, so i figured i'd just burn myself a copy and got myself a wicked t-shirt that says "defy gravity" on the back... he he

I was in the US this September, and was sorely disappointed when I didn't get to see the Las Vegas production of The Phantom of the Opera. So, when I got back to LA, I checked out what musicals were playing there. I wasn't really too keen on Wicked, but decided to catch it on the Pantages nonetheless to fulfill my musical fix.

Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise. The production was spectacular, the music riveting, and the performances very satisfying. Eden Espinosa was excellent as Elpheba (gave me goosebumps in 'The Wizard and I', although she had diffuculty in 'Defying Gravity'). Megan Hilty was a hit as Glinda.

Wouldn't hesitate watching it again when I get the opportunity.

Ooooohhh, I super love Wicked!! It's my favorite! I love Idina. She's great as Elphaba as well as Kristen as Glinda Loveeett!

I'm obsessed with this musical! I listen to the soundtrack everyday! Idina and Kristin rock! I get my Wicked fix from youtube kasi may vid of the entire play pero I really want to see it live, ok lang kahit local production lang hehe I've read na dream role ni Lea Salonga si Elphaba.

I wanna watch this on Broadway (or in West End)!!! I only know the songs Defying Gravity and For Good and I love them both! I wish I could have watched it when it was Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth.

Local productions na alam ko ay yung sa Trumpets and LSGH's Cue Drama Club (may pic 2 posts above mine). High schoolers yung mga actors nung sa LSGH (not sure with Trumpets). I really loved this one. Yung soundtrack can be downloaded (meron sa limewire) if naghahanap kayo.

I would also want to watch one in Broadway kaso I'm only a high school student na walang pera.

I thought bawal pa gumawa ng other Production ng Wicked unless it's a tour of the REAL PRODUCTION?

I love wicked!!!! Idina is so perfect for Elphaba. I saw Lea Salonga's version on youtube. I'm her fan but ndi bagay sa kanya. It's better if Idina sings the lead

^yeah, I heard Lea's din... ok naman, siguro we're just not used to hearing "defying Gravity" in a not all-belted out tone haha. Preggy pa siya when she sang it pero IDINA is (still) the BEST

Idina hits all the notes and her voice is sweet (like in the "I'm Not That Girl") but has a matured tone to it (like in "Defying Gravity" and "Popular"). haaaay I just love it.....
