Wicked is my current obsession! I saw the musical last Friday and it was spectacular! I too love Defying Gravity...It's very empowering! Idina Menzel's version is beautiful, but if you check on you tube, you can find Julia Murney's version (she's the current Elphie on Bway) and somehow her voice makes the song stronger?! That's just me...Anyway, when you have the chance, watch it!

I watched the musical last month in broadway and I was blown away. Sobrang ganda ng productions, stage, music. It was funny and heartwarming. I didnt buy the soundtrack though, ang mahal eh. But i love all the songs and i found myself humming Defying Gravity during the intermission. I didnt like the book, it was kinda weird and to think I love reading science fiction/fantasy. Maybe the book isnt quite what i expected. The musical has deviated from the book IMHO, in a good way.

i just watched it in London and absoutely loved it, as in! loved the songs, the writing, the acting, their costumes & props..absolutely everyhing it was so funny & heartwarming at the same time. i have a sudden urge to rewatch The Wizard of Oz tuloy! Adam Garcia played Fiyero and the actress who played Glinda reminded me of Megan Mullally high-pitched din ba voice nung actress who played Glinda on Broadway? maybe she's really supposed to sound perky

I saw the show 10 times. 5 times on Broadway (with the OBC, and different replacement batches, once in Seattle (Touring Company), twice in Chicago (sit-down peformance), once in LA (touring but now open ended show) and once in Pittsburgh (touring).

I got 3 shirts, 2 caps, 1 gregory maguire-original book, THE Grimmerie, one OBC Recording, one Full Orchestration Recording, one Bootleg Video (of the whole musical), dozens of wicked-related videos and documentary films, and the most important - I have the whole libretto of the whole musical (the allows me to stage an adaptation of it here - FYI I can not do the reall staging BUT an adaptation would do - say, a university production....bwahahaha!)

would that certify me to be the biggest pinoy fan of Wicked? But anyhow, i confessed, I am!

yup yep! when I saw Sho, it was the 3rd day of Megan being the 2nd replacement for Glinda. Super Hilarious!

Perfect Elphaba and Glinda tandem for me:

Idina Menzel and Jennifer Laura Thompson
    Shoshana Bean and Megan Hilty
Eden Espinosa and Kristen Chenoweth (when Eden was still the stand-by of Idina)
Stephanie J. Block and Kendra Kassenbaum.

hi #1_critic, I would gladly give you a copy of the OBC if you don't have one. Me thinks - it's still not available here in our record bars.
