Guys help naman please, I have been to Taiwan once last year during my vacation leave sa work unfortunately my visa is expired already, one of these requirements are Certificate of Employment and Letter of permission to leave from the employer. I dont have any one of those since I resigned na in my previous company.

I dont have a Job a right now and my bank account has 25k only I have a Round trip ticket na on June 27 2012 and I have an invitation letter from a friend who am gonna visit. I'll stay for 6 days only. Would they approve again my application? considering I went there na last year, but this time I might not be able to meet some of their requirements. help please enlighten me.

The requirements list is not so concrete about this (see below). However, if you honestly believe that you or someone else could finance your visit to Taipei, by all means give it a try and submit an application. They will advise you if you have failed to submit required docs.

    6. Supporting documents related to the purpose of VISIT such as :
    A. Confirmed round trip Air ticket or Booking Certificate
    B. Certificate of Employment and Letter of permission to leave from the employer
    C. Financial statements of the applicant such as:
    (1) Income Tax Return
    (2) Bank Book or Bank Statements
    D. Etc.

Half day will do if you just want to get a "glimpse" of Yangmingshan NP. Maybe you can just drop by Yangming Park itself and it is easily doable in a couple of hours. If it is a clear day, there are loads of other spots using bus 108 which you could visit around the area and one day may not even be enough!

will be going to taiwan this month! yippee!

will post our trip when we come back.

for those who have problems with visa application, just submit all the requirements written in their website.

pls. remember that you have to fill out the online application form before you print it. handwritten application form will not be entertained.

I had my visa approved although around 20k lang ang laman ng bank account ko, but I had all the other requirements, including the ITR. I think you must be able to prove that you will return to the Philippines after your trip and not stay in Taiwan to find work.

There is only person I heard of whose application got denied. She/he recently posted it on my blog (late May or the first few days of June); apparently, she wanted to go to Taiwan, on a tourist visa, to study Mandarin.

If you have any doubts, you can always call the TECO office for inquiries or seek the advise of a travel agent.

    Good luck!

Glad there are new people here sharing their experiences and advice!

It's been months, I guess, since I last visited PEX so I was surprised to see the changes.

If you want to go to Taiwan, I have a blog which might be of help to you: http://asiantraveladventures.blogspot.com/

If you have any questions, you can post it here or on my blog.

    Happy travel planning!

This is a late reply but you need a new one, unless multiple entry yung visa mo.

Online application form must be filled up first and you must submit the printed application form, personally or through a substitute, at the TECO within 15 days from accomplishing the online application.

I am officially addicted to Taiwan and can't wait to go back for more, hehe. Sarap ng food, not as expensive as HK, and there's something for everyone (culture, nature, architecture, etc).

Not to mention the Taiwanese are very hospitable and friendly.

It is approximately 1.35 km from Taipei Main Station to Ximending station. It depends on you whether you would like to do it on foot.

When I booked with them directly, they didn't require me to pay reservation fee. They asked me, however, to pay them in cash once I get to the hostel. I asked if I could pay via Paypal, pumayag sila. I think I paid the day before I arrived.
Hi, do you have the website/email address of star hostel? i can't find their own website in google search. only through third-party sites such as hostelworld.
