    Miguel Zubiri

Are you going to vote for him?

    I am.

I believe in most of the issues he supports.

The environment, the impeachment of Erap, the grounding of Laoag Air, bio-fuels. And even though I am against Charter Change right now, what he proposes makes sense to me. He will keep the presidential system, and make the Senate regional instead of national, giving each region an equal say in legislation.

In the United States, each state has two senators, no matter how big or how small the the state is populationwise. Congress is population based and the Senate is region based. I think, this would work well also over here.

He's also for Federalism. I believe that if each province or region is given the power to run themselves, they will prosper more. Especially since our country is an archipelago.

    He certainly has sound advocacies.

'Yung pag-author niya ng Bio-Fuels Law speaks highly of his support for the environment.

i might vote for him just because of his biofuel act. buti pa yang si zubiri at least may magandang nagawa na mapapakinabangan ng sambayanang filipino. kaysa naman sa iba diyan na walang ginawa kundi dumada nang dumada sa tongreso para lang sumikat. imagine, yung isa, nung iniimvestigate ng ethics committee e gusto niya araw-araw madinig ang case niya at dapat daw na i-televise pa? ang kapal naman ng mukha!

Of course I will vote for him. Of all the Congressmen who are running as Senator, he has the most accomplishments in terms of bills authored and co-authored. And some of them were even signed into law. Unlike some of his opponents who have legislated absolutely nothing.

I believe he will also be an effective Senator considering his track record when he was in the lower house.

Yeah, especially with global warming becoming more and more of an issue, he'll probably be able to pass effective legislation to help slow it down, fuel cell cars, less pollution from the factories, etc. And with a lot of our country being coastal, it is in our best interest to stop it.

And now Cayetano's wife is saying na konti na lang daw ang time nila na mag-prepare para sa kampanya dahil napakahaba raw ng hearing sa ethics committee. Kung hindi ba naman walang katapusan ang dada ni Cayetano. The ethics committee bent over backward for him because he was, after all, a colleague and they were very hesitant to have to impose disciplinary action against him. But he repays this by even accusing his colleagues na gagawin daw siyang Valentines gift.

Eto ang makikita mo na talagang ginagawa ang trabaho. Sang-ayon din ako sa isinusulong niya na maging region-based ang Senado. It would mean more adequate representation in the Senate for sectors which are marginalized therein at present. The Moros in Mindanao, for instance.

He's also been a persistent advocate for biofuels. He can continue his advocacies in the Senate. Mahalaga ito dahil hindi pa masyadong informed ang mga tao of the relevance of biofuels in addressing global warming.

NO to Zubiri! What has he done for his constituents? And I expect more from those I will vote. I don't want a Yes Man of a cheater and a liar. He is now a trapo! What a disappointment!

Kamag-anak (medyo malayo nga lang) ko si Migz. Tinulungan niyan ang tiyuhin ko pati yung isa ko pang pinsan para magpagamot ng paa (almost pilay na ang pinsan ko due to some rare disease). He's seems a very nice guy.

    But...

He has some good ideas. I like the region-based Senate idea.
