More interested in Tudor than Omega and Tag. How much is the Prince Date Hydronaut? Hanap ka ng Prince Date Chronograph, ganda yun.

  2. #62
ah i like Tudor pero mas inclined ako sa Omega. I like their co axial movement. pero ok din talaga ang Tudor its just that i want to have an automatic watch like my pop have (Omega). beside i'm a bit young for Tudor. i'l step into Tudor/Rolex when i'm 30. ^_^

  5. #65
    hi bro watchme! welcome!
same here the Oris TT3 is my 1st automatic watch. the Tag carrera is also a great choice bro...it was also in my list before but i was looking at the Tag carrera sport...thats with the rubber strap. i can hook you up with the store where i bought my Oris if u want. they also have Tags n i think Omegas too

I only own one so far, and I bought that from an online retailer and saved a cool 40%. I love it. ORIS has been my favorite brand for quite some time now due to their excellent culture designs. I'm thinking of getting perhaps an artelier or miles model later on. IWC is also on my watch list currently although I saw a TAG carrera (not the chrono but just the simple automatic) which I found very handsome.

Mega Mall has Hour Glass, Time Trend, Chronos & Washington. A lot to get the best prices in town. (If I'm not mistaken though, Hour Glass & Time Trend are the same).

Anyway, check out each of these stores for Omega. Oris is not available at Chronos.

Tip: When buying a watch, haggle to get the best price.

Do consider the Omega Planet Ocean. But I have to warn you: Omega's service is way more expense than Rolex and DO NOT get Omega Quartz watches!

I also like the Hydronaut of Tudor. Consider the Tiger model as well. Tudor is a sister company of Rolex.

Okay WISes (jk), time to defend (or promote) your watches. Choose (if you have a choice) what watch you like most in your collection and tell us why you bought it. Those watches have a story to tell.

hmmm you sure have a good taste sd_amboy. i also like the carrera automatic plain watch. very elegant and very simple. nag inquire din ako about that and its in the range of 66k - 70k. not bad for a sapphire case back.

  11. #71
thanks for the good tip mrpathetic. i'm already fed up with quartz watches so i want an automatic watch. The Planet Ocean is a really nice watch but i still can't afford to buy that. i'm only in the range of Seamaster Professional.

About my watches, i only have 2 watches, both quartz and both Tag heuer. The first watch that i have was given to me by my parents. its a Tag Heuer 2000 Professional. The F1 Chronograph i'm the one who bought it. i like the dial and the sturdiness of the watch. this is my daily watch. but im leaning to buy an automatic watch.

Buti na lang meron ganitong mga threads. I collect vintage swiis watches and I agree that the service centers charge a lot especially if you restoring vintage pieces such as rolex or omega. Pero kung talagang serioso ka eh u can get to know a really good repair person who will not botch a repair or turn your watch into a frankenwatch. Once you establish a level of trust with either a legitimate service center or your personal repair guy you canot go wrong as hindi ka niya tatagain sa presyo kasi mahabaan na ang tinitigan na relasyon dito. And they stand by their work. Pero my advice is kung pipili ka ng gagawa ng repair besides legitimate service centers (kasi sa line ko eh yung mga relo na nakuha ko like the Titus has no service centers here at present) eh go for yung meron pwesto na legitimate and not those small time palit battery places.

hi cocobang. you mentioned watch repair. my father has an omega seamaster i think its in 1960's watch. we've brought the watch in Omega here in the philippines and ask for a quoted price on the repair and its really expensive. same price na ng brand new watch. So where do you guys bring your watch for repairs?

And by the way off topic po ulit. i'm inclined to Omega watches for the reason that my lolo and my father is using an Omega. talagang buo pa sila. medyo madumi na nga lang and some parts are in bad shape.

This is my favorite watch in my small collection. I love the non-traditional asymetrical shape of the dial as well as the black radial guilloche with swingin sixties inspired numerals.

Mas mahilig talaga ako sa simple na design at sa complication kaysa sa chrono pag dating sa dial. Eto ang mga iba kong tinitignan na modelo:

    Tag Heuer Carrera Automatic

    Oris Arterlier Complication

    Oris Miles Tonneau Worldtimer

Eto lang ang dalawang chrono na nagugustuhan ko sa ngayon:

    IWC Mark XV Spitfire Chrono

    IWC Portuguese Chrono

IMHO you should never pay more than $500 for a quartz movement (Excluding ladies models). In all honesty, the japanese make better quartz movements than the swiss since they invented it. The swiss are superior in mechanical movements, both hand wound and automatics, which is what you should be paying for when buying high end swiss brands that are $1000 and more.
