recently, slimmers decentralized their management system...branches work independently and if they don't make money, they close down. so don't be surprised if the quality is different in some branches compared to others. also, the location of the branch makes a difference too--- i heard that the megamall branch at 5pm is a real zoo, esp. from thursday to sunday.

if anybody else is thinking of joining, i suggest you go there at the time you plan on working out... if you plan to work out every 9 am, then check the place and branch out during that time. chances are, that's the likely number of people that you will be working out with.

i used to work out regularly at slimmers too, but i just go there once a week now, to attend my favorite aero teacher's class. i go to another gym now... it is less stressful, i make good use of my time, there is almost no waiting time for the machines, and working out is a more enjoyable experience. i am a lifetime member at slimmers world but now i don't hesitate to discourage people from joining... the owners and management of SWI has become too greedy, and their new policies has caused the rapid deterioration in the quality of their services. people are better served putting their money in gyms where they can function.

hello!! i used to work out in SWI timog branch way back 1998 but then it closed down. since then i dont go to gym regularly anymore not till ths summer vacation wer in i go to gym three times a week in atlanta center. well i nevr had those bad experiences pa naman except for the fact that SWI keeps on getting new members and at the same time closing down their branches. thus making their few number of gym crowded at all times. the trainers naman sa annapolis are really nice they try to attend to your needs as much as they could pero ***** it helps rin if regular ka and kilala ka na nila as in first name basis para its ez to just approach them to ask for help.
i just hope SWI would open more branches para mas well distributed ang members nila and every branch wont get jammed packed.
btw, hu tried their treatments here? any comments on them? nagwowork ba?

Pandagdag revenues lamang ang treatments at kahit yung massage ay di massage kundi "HAPLOS" dahil pagod na the treatment staff dahil sunod2 their treatments!
Malakas ang ugong na marami pa pong SWI ang magsasara at ang matitira lamang ay ang Atlanta at Pan Pacific because sa kanila talaga ang property.Sa mga defenders ng SWI,tignan natin kung kanino ang huling halakhak!Basta,lumipat na ako sa mas makatarungang gym.

Mi ultimo sa Bangkok branches nila ay may T.H. promos like ours dahil they really are losing moolah!

well yeah Megamall is crowded 24x7... so I only go when I have lots of free time... so why did I go for it? because my mom could not use her membership anymore, and it was transferred to my. my employer paid for that.

one of my ex gf's used to be a consultant for slimmers. i won't mention na lang what branch...sa totoo lang, she has come to hate her job because of her nagging boss! yung manager daw nila sobrang mukhang pera to the point na sinasabihan silang mahina pag di nila "ma pressure" ang client to enroll! i've seen that manager and she looks like a little witch! sa mukha pa lang sobrang taray na and u can tell na may pagka sadista sa staff nya. my ex gf told me that she loves the job but it became toxic bec. of the way they are being handled by that witch. i don't know w/ the other branches though..accdg to her, yun lang naman daw ang manager na sobra mag suffocate sa tao nya! so i guess that would explain kung yung ibang na encounter nyo na employee ng slimmers nangungulit sobra to mke u enroll!

i've been a lifetime member since 1995 nung nasa manila garden pa. then i transferred to trafalgar then galleria and now megamall. all of the negative things said about SWI are true, particularly the thursday to sunday club.

if you come in even 30 minutes before the scheduled aerobics class, there's no more space.

at 5pm, you'd be able to use the treadmill or transport at 7pm na since the time slots have already been reserved.

same with treatments, you'd have to schedule a month before to get your desired time. since treatment schedules are fully booked, sometimes you get shortchanged since the attendants are always in a hurry. you'd end up getting only 20 minutes of the 30-minute treatment you bought. and most of the time, i've noticed, they are nicer to older rich women who avail a lot of their treatments.

when step aerobics classes are jampacked, the fitness trainers couldn't care less even if some members place themselves so near the mirrors and the equipments running the risk of being injured.

you really can't get a decent workout at certain times from thursday to sunday. but i guess i'll just have to adjust my schedule. i don't have that kind of money to burn so i can't transfer to a more exclusive gym right now. sayang naman yung lifetime membership ko P35,000 din yun and P12,000 worth of treatments! kulit kasi nung taga-SWI.

I used to go to Slimmer's in Galleria, but when my bf and I broke up, I stopped going there na (coz that's where he works out). I've been going to Megamall since that time, but I'm just not satisfied with their service anymore. I've been wanting to go to a different gym, but I think my mom would kill me since I have a lifetime membership with Slimmer's.

i used to visit Pasay Road, Trafalgar & Ayala Alabang!! It seems they are saving a lot by not using their sauna anymore after a fire in Atlanta Center.. Style lang nila para tipid kasi it consumes lot of power and it means savings on their end.. by promising to buy new equipments in lieu of the sauna but they never did as promised..

hindi nalang thursday to sunday club. meron na ring sunday to wednesday club ngayon.
meron pa raw na lifetime membership at vastly discounted rates.... i heard the ridiculous rate of 25000! imagine...gosh. TAPOS sasabihin nilang nalulugi sila sa lifetime memberships? eh if they are losing money on it, why sell it...
hindi nadadagdagan ang branches, parami lang ng parami ang tao... sa megamall sira pa iyong blower sa may transport area...can you imagine parang impyerno siguro yan sa summer
matira ang matibay na iyong atmosphere dun sa loob. haaay i swear bigyan niyo lang ako ng gym na may good aero program, lipat agad ako.

tin28... naku that guy? torres ata apelido... forgot the name. it was mentioned by an ft eh... meron daw nawalan na chinese guy sa anapolis, eh big amt ang nawala kaya they hired a plainclothes police officer to lurk in the guys gym area. mga ilang days rin daw nakatambay iyong plainclothes police dun tapos ayun nga he was caught in the act. tapos eto pa: the day after he was caught, he had the gall to go to slimmers mega and try to work out there. siyempre di na siya pinapasok...banned na ata siya.

well kahit naman dami reklamo,we have to admit,slimmers mega is one of they gyms na may pinakamaraming aero classes, if not for bam,annie,bong and fhe,baka matagal na ko lumipat!

hmmm... i work out in pasay road and i think their equipment is more than decent. i must admit i haven't tried going to other branches other than the one i mentioned. i'm one of the thurs-sun peeps, and i'm not sorry for getting the space of lifetime members, i only care about working out. and more often than not, space is not a problem. except on thursdays were mon-thurs and thurs-sun members collide.

other than that, it's a fine service for a cheap price.

yep.. i am a lifetime member of slimmers since 1992.... i must say that with all their promo's.. their gym became a marketplace already..

but if you guys were like me.. who works out for 10 yrs already.. i can handle pasay road.... i know my workout regimen.. and i know the time when its not jam packed.

I would suggest to all lifetime members here at slimmers to workout at off peak hours like in the afternoon.. mga between 2-5pm. if you have work, try workin out during lunchbreak. if you really couldnt make it, try workin out @ 830pm.. the gym will be yours till 10pm.. closing time.. ok lang yun

yeah, i miss the sauna. pero medyo may bad experience ako sa sauna na yan... ewwww,..

kaya magdala ng padlock.

almightyge its better to work out that time. or opening nila 6 am.
