i was pleasantly surprised to find a thread about CPI

siguro pwede kong sabihin na the company is a very good training ground for programmers. daming opportunities to learn kse bukod sa they develop their own insurance software, possible din na ma-assign ka to different clients and learn about their system and also their technology. yung mga boss dun are the nicest people/boss i have met so far.

hindi man sya yung company na mago-offer ng pinakamataas na starting rate pero ang importante kse dun is yung learning and experience na mage-gain mo.

pano naman po pag medio pangit *** TOR dahil maraming back subjects at puro math pa. do you think maconsider pa kaya me as programmer trainee if ever i do pass the exams,nakalagay kasi dun sa requirements dapay good scholastic records, well i do have 1.8 yrs experience na pero application and project support lang gawa ko and not hardcore programming na gusto ko matutunan kaya ok lang sakin talaga maging trainee and i dont mind talaga *** sahod since trainee pa nga lang naman talaga ang applayan.

ang withdraw considered ba as failing grade? hehe nagpapalakas lang naman ng loob, dami ko kasi nito eh. btw, san po company mo ***** at ano work? thanks

depende siguro sa school. Sa PUP kasi after 1week ng regular classes, lahat ng withdraw nagiging singko.

Oracle ang training namin noon, pero ngayon nag-ooffer na rin sila ng Java. Madali lang po ang oracle kahit wala ka experience, ang Java sempre kelangan me alam ka sa procedural language.
Bakit sa Mapfre? Kasi astig dito, kapag dito ka na-assign, magiging isa ka sa pinaka-magaling sa oracle programming. Halos lahat kasi ng function ng oracle magagamit mo dito.
Ako, nakaka-isang taon na dito sa Mapfre at talagang masaya!

Safeway Philtech... hmmm... Ateneo at Lasalle grads na lang daw tinatanggap sa safeway ngayon. Sabi ng kakilala ko dun, sya na yata pinakahuli sa mga taga-state U na nahire. Well, dun ako unang nag-apply, kaso nga PUPean ako, so tablado.hahaha! good company, I agree, and there's no harm on trying.=)

hmmm.. kala ko rin ganun.. kasi nka lagay sa site nila is ang tinatangap lang nila is from top schools dito sa pinas... sabi ng tropa ko... try ko pa rin.. tinrya ko... kaso ang tagal nila tumawag... kalagitnaan n ng training ko dito sa CPI nung nag call sila. so, i had to decline... masarap nmn buhay dito sa CPI... so far... hehe... sna ma deploy n ako!!! sana sa generali. =)

UP ko lang to.. i have an interview this coming January on CPI, and as far as i concern, they are so familiar with the TOR which is I have a lot of back subjects.. can someone please help me about this? anu pwede ko sabhin sa kanila about this? and can you pls give me some reasons *** naman maiconsider nila ako kahit may mga back subjects ako..

same thing happened to me bro... very particular sila sa failing grades, but i think i had a good defense during my panel interview with the managers.. i had 2 failing grades back then.. sinabi ko lang na di ako gaano seryoso sa studies ko during my first semester and pin-point ko din na i was a working student for 5 years. maganda din naman yung grades ko lalo na yung last two sems ko puro uno hehe... i ended up with the job offer kahit may mga failing grades ako.. sadly hidi ko tinanggap kasi mejo mababa starting nila compared sa current company ko hehe.. yun lang hope this helps..

ouch that hurts bro, mganda *** nangyari sayo kasi yung sa akin kasi, more than 5 ata back subjects ko, alam ko d din ako nagseryoso that time plus the fact that we have a financial problem that time. nalagpakan talaga mga grades ko, nag play safe n nga ako kasi tumawag ako last time sa cpi nagtanong ako kung ay future b ako dun if ever n bumagsak ako sa interview. hehe, im expecting the worst *** naman d n ako mabigla if ever n bumagsak ako sa interview which is 99:1 ang ratio lol.

^madali lang exam sa CPI... IQ test lang naman yun eh.. im sure di mo ibabagsak yun, yung isang set eh harvard exam, kung magaling ka sa english, malamang pumasa ka.. hehe hula lang ako nun eh..

nope not yet.. ive finished my exam there, on my PAT (programmer assessment test) yata meaning, its an IQ exam, then the next one is the harvard exam, dito more on comparison.. more on english.. hula lang ako that time and luckily ive passed it. Ms. Jho, the recruitment specialist there told me that they will accept interviews on march.. so i still have to wait on march and if i pass it, magiging one of their trainees nila ako...

i try mo din mag exam sa pointwest. suggestion ko, tumawag ka muna bago mag-submit. pwede ka magpa-sched agad ng exam, tapos on exam day ka na mag submit. basta makapasa ka sa exam, medyo ok na. explain mo na lang sa grades mo.

pag nalaman mo na starting salary on both, pati type of work, you will be on a better position to choose. as an advice, pag pinasa mo exam sa cpi, kaya mo na rin sa pointwest, kasi pareho lang ng level of difficulty exam dun.

btw, nagkaroon ako ng offers sa svi, cpi at pointwest dati. of the three, il choose pointwest anytime. pero di ako nagwo-work dun. sa iba ko

^hehe nakapag exam n po ako sa pointwest.. pansin ko nga cobination sya ng exam from SLI and CPI dahil sa harvard exam.. wait ko n lang email nila kung papasa man ako. mukang maganda nga sa pointwest kasi d kayo required na semi formal attire at mejo maganda ang ambience ng office nila, parang call center ang dating. hehe
