The Beatles were the reason why I love music so much. It's All Too Much was originally recorded in 1967. Written and sung by George, it was a product of a 25 min. jam. this song is my no. 1 Beatles song.

yé-yé was the teen music scene during 60's France. This was France's reaction to the American Girl Groups and the British Invasion.

    the Vips:

France Gall- she was known internationally for winning the 1965 Eurovision Song contest. the winning song was 'Poupée de cire, poupée de son' , written by Serge Gainsbourg ( a family friend).

Jane Birkin- British Singer and Actress known for singing 'Je t'aime... moi non plus', a UK no. 1 hit written by her husband, Mr. Gainsbourg.

    Anne Erotique- http://rapidshare.com/files/13489196...e_Erotique.mp3

Brigitte Bardot / BB- Actress and Singer she starred in the film '...AND GOD CREATED WOMAN'. She recorded the original version of 'Je t'aime... moi non plus'(my favored version) but this was dropped when Gainsbourg found a new interest . nowadays, she is an animal rights activist.

Françoise Hardy- known to be the anti-yé-yé, her songs were sad and sometimes sophisticated opposed to her jolly bubbly counterparts. Second only to Bardot, Françoise is the biggest international pop star to come out of France. Recently her collaborations with Air, Blur, Malcolm McLaren and Iggy Pop have introduced her to a new audience.

    Comment te dire adieu- http://rapidshare.com/files/13489199...dire_adieu.mp3

Sylvie Vartan- the first yé-yé girl to enter the scene. she was the toughest-sounding of the yé-yé girls.in 1965, she married Johnny Halliday, they were known as France's King and Queen of Rock.

    Le Locomotion- http://rapidshare.com/files/13489197...locomotion.mp3

    Rules?!?!

Copyrighted material. (added 01.22.06) The TOA prohibits illegal distribution of copyrighted material. This means no requesting mp3s (unless legal - more on that later) and no linking to music or where to get it. It doesn't matter if it's low-quality or hard-to-find: don't share if it's copyrighted, plain and simple. If you want to talk about or share these things, do it privately or somewhere else.

Exempted from this rule are the following: a) non-copyrighted music such as songs by unsigned bands from mySpace or something, b) short song samples used by online stores and whatnot for preview purposes, or c) full song/s provided by record labels for official download.

    Killjoy. hehehe!

But not all albums are available in each respective area so I guess its hard to prevent sharing songs especially those that are hard to acquire. Also consider the financial side, not all people can afford buying those, that's why piracy became an alternative and thus tolerated although the reasoning is far from valid.

Merged all individual posts into one. If no one's visiting your thread, don't talk to yourself to keep it afloat. Not only is it unethical, it's also a tell-tale sign of someone in the brink of insanity.

As for the mp3's, I'll let the previous ones slide since I don't even know what this thread's about

    - you maybe right B]Panda[/B]. I'm a wee bit crazy about music. As my first post said ..."Here's your chance to tell the world about your new music finds", it's hard to understand, ain't it?

    sorry about the mp3's
