Why is "Realm of Thought" forum always about RELIGION ???

I think PEX should create a RELIGION-based forum. While "Realm of Thought" can encompass many other things, most people here are debating about religion or anything related about religion.

Man's attempt to answer his deep rooted questions on the "why" he exists... attempting to know "what's" the purpose of the existence of man would fall to trying to explain things through scientific, logical or philosophical views... but at the end of all the "searching"... it will dive into the question of the existence of God... which easter already pointed out... that all other questions pale in comparison.

I had an ulterior motive for coming aboard PEx, of course, that being to brush-up on my rhetoric for the sake of school. the longer I stayed, though, the more I was shocked how tricks that were so obvious were going ignored. and worst of all, that these things were infecting not just the forums, but websites from so-called pros like, say, William Lane Craig's.

ego? pride? of course! objectivity doesn't mean denying those, it means showing you've got nothing to hide. hence the arguments can be weighed apart from the person, since the arguer is not afraid to show both.

I don't think so. Considering that it is just way too easy to shoot down theists' arguments, it's really more the fact that there is a lot of intellectual masturbation going around here. Chicks venturing into the forum should be careful, lest the whole thing ends up becoming a bukkake-fest. Well.. if that sort of thing turns you on...

They can. They can pray to Jesus to visit each and every atheist in his dream and scare the bejeezus out of them. e.g. like what purportedly happened to Saul of Tarsus.

Make each dream the exact same one for each and every one of the jerk atheists here (including me )... that'll restore our faith or at least some of it. And when we corroborate with one another on this forum and realize we all had the same dream, that will definitely shock us into believing. We'll still think God is an a-hole, but at least we'll believe he actually exists.

Heh... knowing God's seemingly perverted streak, he'll make that dream appear to, say, half the atheists, who will then believe wholeheartedly, while he will supposedly "harden the heart" of the other half, making them even less likely to believe and suppose that the other half has something wrong with their heads, so the first half that has something wrong with their heads will go to heaven, while the other half who did not have the dream will go to hell.

And if that isn't about as pathetic and loser-y a scenario as anyone can think up of, I don't know what is. Of course, this is generally the kind of lame plot you read in the bible re interaction between Jehovah and the Israelites and the latter's enemies.
