i was able to listen to the album in Music1 in alabng and i really like Kala's version of rock baby rock.. it's really funky and soul-isque! but the sound, taste and touch of manila sound is still there. i think its safe to say that this is the 21st century version of manila sound...

hope i win this! i never won anything in my life!

goodtimes!

My fav song is No Touch by Rocksteddy because I think they made a good job incorporating modern music to the song and it's the "Best Manila Sound" in the whole album. I also like Ipagpatawad Mo by Mayonnaise.

i've been listening to magic89.9; they've been playing tracks from that album and of course there's music 21 and tower records for free listen....hehehe. i'll say i was surprise to hear DRTs version of Tao and Radioactive Sago Projects Kapalaran, it was dark and full of angst.....great!!! but of all the tracks my most fave is Up Dharma Downs Bitin Sa'yo. they were able to showcase the true manila sound with its catchy melodies and tongue in cheeks lyrics and fuses it with a reverb and smacked down groove only Up Dharma Downs can deliver. ang ganda ng mix, pinag-isipan talaga ang pag-atake, linis pa ng boses ng vocalist. love it!!!!

NO TOUCH by ROCKSTEDDY is my favorite track from the CD. The band did a magnificent job by having their own style to the song yet the essence of the original was still intact. I especially love the part when the lead vocalist talked fast like what he did with Lagi mo akong dinededma, it was witty yet catchy

TL ako sayo is the 2nd revive song that i have ever heard in my entire life, the 1st revival was done by a punk rock band during the old LA 105.9 years.

its a courtship song for everyone. her kind of revival is a little bit soft and very relaxing. unlike the other revivals which are very hard and metal hahahhah.

its a song for everyone and its a nice song this coming Valenties day!

Rock Baby Rock by Kala, hands down. Actually, I know and like all the songs on the CD because my dad is a real music buff and these songs were the rage during his younger days. I singled out Rock Baby Rock because my dad and my uncle used to have a band with a couple of their friends (they call it a "combo") and this is one of the songs they used to perform. Kala's version is updated and yet still remains true to its roots... if I win the CD I plan to give it to my dad so he can be in touch with my generation through his favorite songs.

TL Ako Sa'yo by Kitchie Nadal, simply because it's performed by Kitchie and I worship the ground she walks on.

TL ako sa iyo by kitchie nadal... her intepretation to this song is very natural. she retained its real melody and true meaning of this song. I'm sure Ms Yoly Samson of Cinderella will be happy that kitchie did justice on her signature song.

TL Ako Sa'yo - Kitchie Nadal

Kitchie was able to give a new sound and feel without losing the original essence and mood of the song. From the moment she goes, "Ewan ko ba kung bakit type kita..." I knew right away that it's gonna be 3-minutes' worth of laidback music with distinctive, convincing vocals enough to make a hopeless romantic like me melt.
