ahahahaha yey!!!! napabilang 'yong school ko. I am proud to be a Louisian hehe also a center of excellence in Nursing

Saint Louis University : the light of the north

I came from pangasinan, way back in high school, i took UPCAT,UST and SLU entrance exam
I must say duguan ang ilong ko noong lumabas ako ng exam room after UPCAT wahahahaha (oh boy it is really hard) I passed all of these entrance exams.
One funny thing umiyak pa ako kasi lahat ng friends ko UP diliman at ako sa UP manila. Only to find out ,ang mga medical courses ay sa UP manila talaga (***** -tangahan si ako) i started to laugh after knowing it.

I've been a keen-observer of nursing school achievers
here are my top schools na galing at bukal sa pusot isipan ko

UP manila- standard setters.pangarap ko dito hehe.
factors: kasi kakaunti sila so tutok talaga at salang sala at magagaling naman talaga

UST- also a standard setter...mga halimaw sa paso ahahaha magagaling din talaga.kahit madami ang students, they manage to have better performance talaga

****standard setters- ito mga nag seset kung gano karami ang papasa sa board or 'yong tinatawag nating standard deviations ,logarithms and all that. Kaya sabi ng C.I ko dati na you must be more proud kung sa june ka nag exam (july na ngayon) kasi kasabayan mo mga monster schools hehehehe

these are my darkhorses, mga silent killers kumbaga hehe:

Now let me tell you the story kung bakit hindi ako natuloy sa USTE or UP at sa SLU ako napadpad, i came from pangasinan so it makes sense na sa baguio na lang kasi malayo sa NCR, pamasahe at ang standard of living compared sa baguio ay napakataas. Let me give you an example:
2nd factor is the school: kung sa UP manila ako ,i've heard sa pinsan ko na talagang mahirap ang training na halos wala ng social life . take note of the word halos so merun pa din. So ayoko naman ng ganun kasi gusto ko naman mag enjoy yet mura daw sa UP manila

about UST,same daw halos ang training ng SLU at UST sabi ng C.I ko na nagturo din sa UST. pero napabaliktad ako sa tuition ahahaha 50 thou kapag may ROTC. at 49 kapag wala at take note first year pa lang iyon haha hindi ko kinaya kaya sa SLU ako nag enrol kasi mamumulubi magulang ko. 15-25 thou lang ang first year sa SLU hehehehe

maganda training like up manila + di masyado mahal tulad sa UST = Saint Louis University ,baguio

Own thoughts ko lang po ,you can also have your own hehe and i will respect it

but the bottomline here, asa student naman ang kagalingan talaga but i will not totally say that the school factor does not exist coz it does... Let's say 80% comes from the student and 20% comes from the school ,the training ,the skils, theories upbringing and all that.

    but then...

Magagaling ang PINOY NURSES, no one will dare to argue with that.

I am proud to be one. We should be proud to be one.
anyway i'm 22 now, new grad from SLU passed our NLE, passed nclex-RN in state of hawaii. I am an ER nurse here and BTW, pag nag eendorse ako ng pasyente ko from ER, sa med-surg floor parati
    at guess what?
sa isang UP manila grad (29 y/o) at Uste grad ( 26y/o) ako parati nag eendorse. I had huge smile when i've found this out haha i felt at home , really

aloha!!!!prince 22 from Philippines now situated here in US

Mabuhay and Kudos to all pinoy nurses!!!!!! (",)

What's the basis for these TOP 5 Nursing School "DAW"

PAASCU, PACUCOA,ASCS,AACCUP are all under the umbrella of FAAP..

Ang UERM level 4 accredited ng PAASCU as Certified ng FAAP..hindi yung may level 3 na eh may level 4 pa..get mo?..just for your understanding...

All accreditation by the aforementioned accredited bodies should be certified by FAAP..clear na ba?>.tsk tsk tsk

Just a note for those who someday will be looking for an RN job in the U.S.

It is unlikely that your future employer in the U.S. will care about which school you graduated from in 'Pinas.

My Pinay wife graduated from one of the bottom five nursing schools in 'Pinas. She passed the NLE on her first try. Then she passed the NCLEX-RN on her first try, after only 75 questions.

At job interviews here in the U.S., no potential employer ever mentioned anything about her school or about her NLE. All that mattered is whether she had a state license.

Also, her six months of volunteer work at a hospital in 'Pinas counted as experience.

Now she makes over P200,000 per month plus generous benefits working at a long-term care facility.

    UP
    UST
    FEU
    UE

Based on observation and experience, Pinoy nurses who manage to obtain academic and administrative positions in the US are mostly from UP and UST. Check out the online profiles of American nursing school faculty members or hospital administrators and if he or she is Filipino, you'll find out that more than likely they come from either of the schools mentioned. There's a few from Siliman or PWU (early grads). Philippine alumni presence wise, UST comes first in the US. They're everywhere!
I'm not saying that working in the US shows that one is a more accomplished RN as compared to those serving our country but I have to say that, whether we admit it or not, most graduates make it their end career goal.

Hi guys! Thank you!

im not belittling some schools pero sa practice, it'll show din talaga if maganda ang school na pinanggalingan mo.....
