Exclamation Bono and Cabahug out of the AdU team?

Just read from Adamson team insider kaybee007 in gameface.ph that UAAP season 69 MVP Ken Bono and Patrick Cabahug have quit the Adamson team due conflicts with the team management.

With this development, looks like Adamson will once again languish in the cellar and will not be able to repeat its final 4 stint in season 70.

    Can anyone confirm this?

re: Ken Bono, nakapagbitaw siya ng salita lately na "ayaw" na niyang maglaro under Bogs Adornado at "mas gusto" niya ang sistema ni Leo Austria. as for him moving to the PBA, he did not give any hint that he might join the draft (pero sa totoo lang ay panay na ang panliligaw sa kanya ng Welcoat Dragons, na hawak ni Leo Austria) pero ang sigurado lang ay gusto pa niyang mas tagalan pa ang paglalaro sa PBL.

just like what i said in my past post, 2006 was indeed Ken Bono's last year in the UAAP.

hmnnn... As of this writng, Cabahug and Hugnatan: they would still play this coming season. About Bono... wuhhh... well... surprise.

Anyway, the news I got about Bono is that, he's currently enrolled. So he might still play this coming season. Pero totoo na maraming gomogoyo kay Bono na iwanan na ang UAAP at mag PBA na lang sya.

About the current coach, Boggs A... ano ba meron sya na aayawan sakali ng players nya like Bono?

Others might have something else to say.

Let me seal my lips first. As if may nalalaman pa no? well, wala lang.. nagkukunwari lang

Eh di ba si Coach Leo Austria din nag pave ng way for Coach Bogs Adornado to hold the Falcons. Austria left to attend to his bigger commitment (Welcoat) and in the first place matagal nang Assistant Coach ni Leo si Bogs.

Personally, it would really be unfair to Adamson if their former coach is pushing the school's current top player to leave the UAAP and join him in the PBA.

bchoter: happy ba? di naman... mas masaya ako kung makikita ko na yung bata ay magagawa ang kung anong gusto niya without any worry.

outsidelukinin: hindi si Leo Austria ang nagpu-push kay Ken Bono na iwanan ang Adamson. based on what Ken Bono said lately, it was his personal decision not to return for another year with the Falcons. Bono felt that he worked and matured under the system of Leo Austria and he wanted to continue working with his "mentor", who is now the head coach of Welcoat Dragons.

as for Patrick Cabahug, yun yata yung purely ang isyu ay between him and Adamson management. may nakapagsabi kasi sa akin na "iniipit" daw ng administrators ng Adamson si Cabahug at parang tinanggal sa line-up ng Falcons for 2007.

bono's stock is really high right now....so i wouldnt blame him if he decides not to play for adamson next UAAP season and enter the draft....ganun rin naman ginawa nina james yap at mac cardona di ba? ika nga, strike while the iron is hot, minsan lang mangyari yan...

i very much agree with this.

now is the right time for Ken Bono if he wanted to pursue a career in professional basketball. if he decides to stay in Adamson for one more year, baka lalo lang siyang mapag-iwanan at mawala ang demand sa kanya ng mga teams sa PBA, although it seems like he really wanted to be playing in the system of Leo Austria.

    Hell No

wag nmn sana. bono is now blooming and he is at his peak. i hope that ken stays for one more year to prove to everyone that their final four appearance in UPPA 69 is not a fluke but its a sign of supremacy.
adamson falcons is the next big thing in season 70. with cabahug, hugnatan, gonzalgo, canuday and bono i think they can reach the finals this coming season.

I think for Bono's own good, eh mas magiging OK na kung mag PBA na siya next year, kasi siya ang reigning MVP sa UAAP. Mas mataas ang market value niya ngayon. Kasi next season, I doubt it kung mag MVP pa uli siya, especially with Jervy Cruz playing his second season with UST. If he doesn't win next season's MVP, eh mas mababa ang presyo niya (magkano ba ang presyo ng liempo ngayon?...... joke lang po).

Pero for Adamson's sake, sayang naman kung mawawala si Bono

Ken Bono had already bloomed as far as his college basketball career was concerned. proof niyan ang malaking improvement niya under Coach Leo Austria at yung pagkapanalo niya ng 2006 UAAP MVP award. his growth as a basketball player made him the current apple of the eye of professional basketball teams, all of which are wishing to get his services when the next PBA Rookie Draft begins. yung bata naman, talagang interesado nang mag-move on from the amateurs to the pros kaya sinabi niya na mas pagbubutihin niya ang stint niya with his current PBL team (Cebuana Lhuillier).

nasabi na ni Bono na "ayaw" na niyang maglaro under Bogs Adornado at "mas gusto" niya ang sistema ni Leo Austria, whom he considers as his mentor. ngayong mataas ang demand for him by the professional basketball teams at gusto na rin niyang maging isang professional basketball player, walang ibang tamang panahon para umalis siya sa Adamson at lumipat sa PBA kundi ngayong taong ito. he should not waste every opportunity that comes his way since it is his only ticket to a rewarding career in the PBA.

as for the Adamson fans here, para bang lumalabas sa mga post niyo na Adamson's chances in reaching the Final Four and the Finals is nil without players like Bono and Patrick Cabahug (who was recently "suspended" from the team by Adamson administrators themselves, according to rumors) and a coach like Leo Austria. can't the Falcons move on without Bono, Cabahug and Austria? players come and go... at yun ang dapat ma-realize ng Adamson fans.

UAAP is more prestigious than PBL. Why bother na mapag iiwanan o malalaos?

it could be said that the UAAP is "more prestigious" than the PBL but then the PBL could give one basketball player who aspires to join the professional league something that could set him apart from his rivals. pampaganda ng resume, ika nga.

hindi natin alam kung anong reason ni Ken Bono as to why he has reached the decision to leave the Adamson Falcons. hindi rin natin alam kung bakit nagdadalawang-isip ngayon si Patrick Cabahug as to the possibility of him again playing for the Falcons this coming UAAP season. let us just wish both Bono and Cabahug the best of luck in whatever career path they will choose.
