"Répondez s'il vous plaît", a French phrase that translates to "Respond please." -from Wikipedia
This is usually placed on invitations so that the bride and groom will know who can come and who can't. An easy way to manage the guest list as well as the number of people who will be included in the reception. But here in the Philippines, it usually doesn't work since most of the people don't respond anyway plus they bring their "bitbits" with them whom are not invited in the first place!
You can always make your own invitation. But make sure you have the patience and creativity to do it.
When one receives an invitation and may nakasulat na RSVP, that would mean you need to respond, whether you will accept or decline the invitation.
If di pa rin nagbigay ng response, you need to give them a call as to when you can pick up the response card.
I hope this helps.
lately there is a new set up. The principal sponsors are no longer seated at presidential table instead there are VIP tables for them and they are seated with their guests. So it is important to give how many of you will attend to have a very organize seating arrangement.
This is also important for the seating arrangement of other guests. There are couples would like people who knew eachother to placed on the same table.
