Computer (E-Waste) Recycling

Hello-
I am new to PEX and I am a social entrepreneur living in the US (CA). I am looking to open a Computer (E-Waste) Recycling/Collection business in Manila. I would love to hear your thoughts/feedback on this. Do we even have an E-waste recycling program in the Philippines? Moreover, I would like to extend my help to schools we have out there (those who lack internet and ICT connections). I have a non-profit org here in Cali that does fundraising events in LA and other areas and we collect $$ to give as donations to poor and underdeveloped schools. I am in the process of collecting some data from Dept of Ed so I have a better idea of our school system and how badly we need some assistance in developing better ICT programs for these schools so I have a way to justify how to disburse my funds accordingly.

How fortunate of you to have the opportunity to help others, Specially coming from someone that rarely see the real state P.I. I do know someone that buys E-waste. I think what they do is bid for it. sometimes its a lot of merchandise or an office. I dont really have all the details. by the way, i am also connected to a fairly-sized private school that is a quezon city pilot area for solid waste management.

we have no situation concerning internet matters but we can discuss with you a possible social entrepreneurship idea that concerns the welfare of garbage dump site workers, especially the minor children.
