    Alarplasty and Tip plasty

how will this affect my surgery?
Will I encounter any possible complications because I smoke?
How long after the surgery will I not be able to smoke?
Am I allowed to chew nicorette gum or will that complicate things as well?

I've also noticed a couple posts on here about price and I don't really see anything that has a concrete answer... I understand, and I will, be shopping around for qualified surgeons (two names that seem to stand out here is Dr. Ira and Dr. Joaquino) but in a case like mine where I would not be looking to get an implant, what price range am I looking at?

    thanks guys!
    Hello there.

Rhinoplasty or nose surgery may be composed of several procedures. If you have an adequate dorsum or bridge, then you MAY not need an implant. Emphasis on the "may" because the surgeon would need to see you to give you his/her professional opinion. Nevertheless, you still decide in the end.

Wideness of the nose may be caused by two things; more commonly wide nostrils, and a wide bridge/dorsum, which may also coincide with the bulbous or rounded tip. Therefore, and alarplasty and tip plasty would be in order.

Smoking may delay or prolong the healing process so it might be best to stop temporarily. It causes narrowing of the blood vessels thereby limiting the bloodflow to the area, which is vital in wound healing.

I do digital enhancement to see the possible result and this might help you in your concerns as well as your decision. I will send you a PM with regards to the price range.

    I hope this helps.

    Computer Imaging Before Surgery

My doctor did computer imaging during my consultation prior to having a goretex noselift. You may want to call (Post edited. Sorry, no private numbers allowed, please relay through private messaging instead) for a schedule of free consultation. The final outcome of my procedure actually exceeded that.

I am very happy and satisfied not to mention that the goretex implant inside my nose has stand my perennial rhinitis. My nose up to now is still very much okay, very natural-looking and natural-feeling despite my hard sneezing. There's not a day in my life that I don't sneeze nor have clogged nose specially in the middle of the night, early morning and late afternoon. So thankful there's goretex.

I am happy for you joy. However, regardless of the implant, it should not cause clogged nose.

Hi, Dr. J. Thank you. I think you're really happy for me. Do you know that implant has nothing to do with allergic rhinitis nor clogging of nose? I have that ever since. And thank you again for being so happy for me.

Yes, I am happy for you. I was saying that regardless if the implant used was a goretex, silicone or cartilage, it should not cause all of those things. You are most welcome!

    I did it!

So I finally went through with my nasal reshaping procedure! The anticipation was scary but i am now on my second week of recovery and I love my new look. The swelling has subsided in the bridge area but the tip and alar area is still a bit swollen. I took day to day pictures and it was heart breaking the first few days...the swelling was just ugly! i actually cried on the second day kase mukha talaga akong binugbog (which, the doctor did, shoving up a piece of plastic up my nose). But now, it's really nice. My confidence level continues to soar each day. Actually, lulugirl (another frequent PEXer) got her nose done a day before I got mine done and during our dark days, we kept in contact and cheered each other on. I can't wait to meet her and share our results with each other! If anyone has questions about my experience, you may PM me! Thanks guys...I think I'm done with this thread.

In terms of total number of noselift cases done here and abroad, one of the most experienced is Dr. Levi Lansangan of Shimmian Manila SUrgicenter. He is trained and Korea and the only Filipino surgeon whose article about noselift has been published in the Medical Journal along with Dr. Jung and Dr. Toriumi.

( all referrals here are made through private messaging, sorry).

hi i am really interested to had nose lift..where and who was the best surgeon with 20k to 25k cost of the operation?

    thank you in advance.

Let's not forget that Rhinoplasty (Nose lift) is essentially a surgical procedure. All surgeries entail a certain amout of risk.

Rather than looking for the surgeon who offers the cheapest price, I would seriously consider having the procedure done safely.

However which way you slice it, what's really important is that your nose looks good after the procedure.

Please wait for the reply of the physicians ( or perhaps you can send a private message to all the persons in this thread who've had rhinoplasty).

Trust me, you do not want to be messing around with your own body, particularly your nose ( which is something people can see a mile away).

    ahhhh finally!!!

it's been three months since my nose job and the swelling is gone and my nose has "settled" to what it's supposed to be....i love my results because at first akala ko ganon na yon post-surgery, medyo malaki and maga...it's the right nose for my face! not too pointy and high...the bridge and the sides are just right for my face...my co-workers didn't even notice when i came back from my 2 month vacation, but my close friends and family did. i have pics if anyone wants to see my results!

Hi everyone. I'm glad to find such helpful forum regarding rhinoplasty, especially with the professional recomendation. I decided to get nose job in Phil(btw, I'm not Filipinos) and I would like to know the best surgeon for this kind procedure over there. I had done extensive research on this matter, and beside of the affordable fees, I'm more concern on the safety. I plan to do it without any silicons or goretex, I still can't accept the idea some foreign things insert in my nose. Preferably it done by carthilage derived from nose or septal cartilage. Is that possible doc? I have typically south asian nose, flare nostril, and quite flat bridge.
IF anyone of you know the reputable surgeon, please let me know, including their profile, qualification, and fees. Thanks bunch!

    Hello enchantbeau,

It is also possible to have a nose surgery using your own tissue/cartilage. We get them from other parts of your body (such as the back of your ear) and then put it where its needed.

With your description of your nose, it seems that yours is not really different from Filipino noses. I believe us Filipino cosmetic surgeons can handle your case better than our western counterparts. With regards to safety, many surgeons now do it in their clinics. It is relatively safe to do it in clinics, however, I prefer the hospital operating room.

Thanks Dr. for replying my post. It will be a great help if you can recommend me the qualified surgeon who specialised in this type operation. It's not easy for me to search a right one since I'm not a local. How much generally this kind procedure cost?

Needs a good cosmetic surgeon for rhinoplasty

Hi guys, i'm planning to have my nose done next month. Please help me find a very good doctor specializing on noselifts with a very good track record. I looked online and found Dr. Alexander de Leon of La Nouvelle Image. Has anyone heard of him? Is he good?

    Thanks in advance...

Hi guys, I'm very much interested in having a nose lift. As I go through this thread, I can see that some went through it successfully. I also read some note-worthy tips and point of view about this procedure. My concern though is the cost and the healing time. I read one had to contend with the swelling for weeks. Is that a normal thing? Will the swelling still be noticeable after a week? I'm planning to take a week off work so I can have it done. But I don't want people to notice the swelling. Can you guys also give me a price range. Please PM me for all the info I need. Thanks in advance!
