guys , balak ko nga pala pa rhino sa december 01, kay dr alex de leon sa la nouvelle image sa linden . highly recommended sya sa mga forum.may discount pa sa hotel. pero mahal pa rin rate kaya mga 4 days lang ako mag stay sa linden.ang maganda kasi pwede mo pa check palagi yung wound kasi andoon lang yung clinic ni dr alex. baka may gusto sumabay sa akin

Hi everyone! New ako dito. So glad I found this forum. I'm a pinay living in the U.S. and would like to get your opinion. I'm planning on flying to Manila to get a rhinoplasty next year but still undecided on which surgeon to choose. I'm thinking of going to either Belo Med or Shimmian Manila. Has anyone here ever gotten a nose job from either of them? Dr. Yap (Belo) and Dr. Lansangan (Shimmian) both seem to be good surgeons, pero hindi ako sure kung sino and pipiliin ko. Any good/bad experiences? Which one do you prefer? I just don't want to go by their websites.. gusto kong marinig yung experiences or opinions ng iba. I'd really appreciate any input. Thanks in advance!

Sino doctor mo? I had mine done by Dr. conrado De Gracia. Im now, 5 weeks post op and revision actually yung sa case ko. Dati kasi silicone implant, now ear catilage na.

Ok naman siya so far kasi ang cute tignan ng nose ko. Looks so natural.

For those who wanted to go rhinoplasty. Consider Dr. De Gracia. Two thumbs-up siya sakin.

Saw ur previous post about about your dr. Nways silicone pala ginamit sayo. Sakin maganda naman dati, but it looks deviated na rin kasi- at least for me. Although, people dont notice kasi bumagay din sa mukha ko.

Of course tayo nakaka-alam anatomy nose natin. If it feels tabingi, tayo makakaramdam nun bago pa ma-obvious. So inunahan ko na. hehe

My silicone lasted for 3 yrs. lang. And takot talaga ako dun kasi sa ad ng Shimmian, but effective siya sakin in fairness. lol

But of course di kaya ng powers ko shimmian so kay Dr. De Gracia me.

@flipnvywf, IMHO, BeloMed is expensive & overrated. Browse through this thread, there's a Dr. Yap patient there, silicon implant, looks fake:

BeloMed caters to showbiz people too much. It's safe to say, they have better bedside manners to famous clients compared to regular patients.

Thanks for the insight accord_ex. Ganon ba talaga sa Belo Med? It's really helpful to hear other people's opinions. I was just considering Belo because I was thinking since they're well-known, then they probably would want to satisfy "all" their patients, whether they be celebrities or not, to keep up their reputation. I did browse through that site, and since that girl is not completely satisfied with the results and wanting revision, hindi na yata si Dr. Yap isa sa mga contenders ko, lol. About the implant, I don't want silicon.. I definitely want gore-tex. That's also one of the reasons I was wanting to go to either Dr. Yap or Dr. Lansangan, because they both do gore-tex. I guess now, my top choice is Dr. Lansangan from Shimmian Manila.
What do you think of Dr. Lansangan? I'd like to get your opinion on him. Everyone, please feel free to comment also. Salamat po!

I'm not saying you should rule out Belo. Every nose is unique. What didn't work for one patient might work well for you. You should get as many consults as you can and go with your gut feeling. I haven't consulted w/ Dr. Lansangan so I have no opinion.

Good point there accord_ex. And don't worry, I know you weren't saying I should rule out Belo. I just said that I'm not considering Belo anymore because after some thought, I realized that they probably are kind of overrated and overpriced, like you said. I really don't care about the price too much because what I'm most concerned about is to find a really good surgeon.. but knowing that there have been some unsatisfied people that have gone there for their nose job really discourages me. I know every nose is unique, and what didn't work for one patient might work well for me, but if you're talking about silicon implant, I've already decided that I don't want that. I want gore-tex, so that's another reason I was considering Dr. Lansangan too. Again, thanks for the advice. If anyone has any advice or has any experience with Dr. Lansangan, please don't hesitate to comment.

@ accord ex Wala na kasi ako number ni Doc just go to the medical city webiste na lang and look for doctor de gracias contact info. Wala ng siya personal email or celfone number sa calling card coz his busy talaga not unless your his patient.

My surgery cost me 50k. His consultation fee is 400. But you have to ready urself coz masakit dahil pati ear mo aalagaan ang sugat. 3 oras nga inabot surgery ko. Tinalo pa yung ma-CS delivery ako. hehe But its all worth it.

Actually his the pioneer of using cartilage implant in the country today. He is also a burn specialist. Siya ang doctor ni Chin2x Guttierez nung masunugan siya ng balat and yung recent accident ni Joyce Jimenez.

Actually very subtle talaga, its not a perfect looking nose but very cute coz bumagay siya sa akin. I told doc kasi that ayoko masyado matangos coz may bridge naman din ako, basta cute lang.

I think from Korean look, mukha nako ulit chinese. lol

my sister had a noselift done by dr de gracia of the medical city...she had paid 50 thou before but the doctor had only done a bridge on her nose... then my sister went back to saudi arabia, then started complaining of the cartilage incision..i think parang nadislocate or whatever..so she went back to dr de gracia after a year for a retouch.. having the injection as in super sakit daw as in she wants to die of the pain ,and what the doctor did was to PULL the cartilage back to its place.....as of now, nakita ko, di pantay butas ng ilong ng sister ko and she's not really satisfied with the result...
so out of my list na si doc.. and thinking of going either with dr de leon or dr joaquino..doc joaquino is charging me a hefty 60 thou...mahal ha...still waiting for dr de leon's quote...has someone heard of dr edwin magallona?

i hate cartilage kc over a peroid of time.. it will decrease volume.. thn cartilage is hard to reshape for the nose..
