I think this was the pill that my friend bought. If I'm not mistaken she got it from Mercury.

hi guys, im not sure if sa pinas meron ng morning after pill? you're supposed to take it within 3 days of unprotected sex. its supposed to prevent pregnancy by 89%.. much more effective the sooner you take it?

exactly a month ago i had unprotected sex, the guy said he pulled out.. but my instincts told me to buy the emergency contraceptive ASAP. i took it after 14 hours. after 2 days i got my period.. which is good. so that's over with..

last monday (4 days ago).. i had unprotected sex again. sheeet. this time he took me to the pharmacy to buy the pill again. i took it within 2 hours, assuming that's the most effective it could go.

this morning after pill.. affects your hormones.. it's job is to prevent ovulation and fertilization.. so the side effect is that your menstrual cycle will be messed up. so here's where im nervous. first of all, i dont wanna be pregnant. marami akong pangarap, but the truth is.. im only human and i have my impulsive, stupid moments. number two, i consulted sexual health counselors and they said that within 3 weeks i should have my period. it's only been 4 days. but im SO scared.

anyone give me their inputs and advice? i would truly appreciate it.

you've already taken the pill. There's nothing we can do but wait.
I would advise the following.
1. Ask the man to wear a condom. Damn if he complains. You'll get to be a mother if he doesn't wear one. or i would assume he's ready to take the role of immediate fatherhood.
2. Start the pill to ensure a fertile free days.
3. Or get a injectable contraceptive. Its a one-shot-6-months-period/pregnancy-free system.

pretty radical idea but if you are afraid and totally paranoid at getting pregnant but can't stop having fun. Its the only way. Remember it IS your body.
You get pleasure from using it, but the prize for having too much fun last a lifetime (motherhood).
Take care of having unprotected sex too. As a physician, we've had too many cases of hepatitis B lately. It is easier for a women to get Hepatitis B or HIV when having sex with an infected man rather than the other way around.

i jst had unprotected sex. I know stupid. Hey look at my name! The question is even if I am just on my 7th day since the first day of my menses, I can get overly paranoid about getting pregnant. Although my boyfriend is so sure (experience daw) that i will not be pregnant...I still don't think so. I want to get an ECP, but I don't know which kind to use. The one my med friend told me about wasn't available.

Anyway, if sa boyfriend ko lang I am sure that he's the one I want to be with for the rest of my life. And I know na if push comes to shove, he will be a good father. Pero, it's more of an issue on my part. Suffice to say I am not yet ready for such a responsibility, but then...like zinestress...I have stupid moments...almost everytime...but this one if I get out of this situation unscathed (meaning I get my period next mo as expected...will not happen again. Btw, I am usually irregular when it comes to my menses...I usually wont get my menses for a couple of months...or really late or early. But last may I got it on the dot. (april 2 and then next is may 2.) but then this june I was a day late (june 3).

I was once diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and was prescribed yasmin (2005)...but I stopped because I started to get migraines, disrupting work, and hypertension.

So what do I do, what do I do? HELP!

PS: Pardon me, but I've only been sexually active lately. And the only useful sexual advice I ever got was withdraw, use a condom, and the a week before and after your period method. We did withdraw the last 3 times, actually, I dont think he came to part where he ejaculated. But we don't really like using rubber, because it hurts me, even if we're properly lubricated. I guess it makes to much friction and I'm just not used to it yet. This is the first time we ever got that far.

I could be wrong, but emergency contraceptive pills only work till 72 hours after you've had intercourse. You do need protection (condoms, female condoms, etc.) when having intercourse (as mentioned by Dr. Tjmd) because you never really don't know if your partner is squeaky clean.

And I know. My partner is my boyfriend, but still, of course he's had sex with other women before me. Unlike myself, I tried having sex before with my ex but since it hurt me too much we'd stop mid penetration. Also, when I first tried having sex with my ex I didn't bleed. Then when me and my now bf tried the first time I also didn't bleed. And it really really hurt alot. So anyway on our 2nd and 3rd times actually even the 4th (which was the last and unprotected one) it still hurt and I bled on all occasions. But the 4th one, not as much. We didn't see the blood on the sheets unlike the 2nd time and 3rd time. Why is this?

I still have till june 12 9 PM to get myself a PILL. I hope that there's an open OB Gyne clinic tom. I don't know how I'm going to sneak to one but I really have to go, or I'm going to die of anxiety till I get my next period.

hi thanks for the reply...actually i am always delayed.. but it worries me, after doing it we visited the ob and she gave us femenal... i took the first two pills after 12-14 hours pa nga after weve done it... and then the next two pills after 12 hours... kaso bakit wala pa?!

I had sex with my boyfriend last march 20 (around 4am) and the condom broke. I was very paranoid. At around 3pm, I bought Nordette as an emergency contraceptive pill. I took 4tabs right after buying, then after 12 hours (3am of March 21) I took another 4. After 4hours (around 7am) of taking the last 4tabs, I vomited. I was afraid that the last 4tabs wont take its effect so I took another 4 after having my lunch. By the way my last period started on March11.

Please help me. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Is Nordette effective? Im very anxious and paranoid to death

Emergency contraception when used at the appropriate time and at the appropriate dose is effective. If you still feel unsure, get a pregnancy test 2 weeks after you had sex.

ECPs have to be taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex.

I would not advise on having unprotected sex again after taking ECPs, or else you defeat its purpose.

Taking emergency contraception after every unprotected sexual encounter is not advisable since the high concentration of hormones may affect the woman's menstrual cycle, and its side effects of nausea and discomfort can make any woman think twice about taking it again.

If you're not currently planning or aiming for a pregnancy, use a condom and let your wife go on the pill or an injectable. You can consult your family physician or ob-gyne for more information regarding contraception.

Morning after pills are not legally available in the Philippines but you can use the Yuzpe method (Plan B). The difference between MAPs and the Yuzpe method is that, MAPs were specifically produced for that purpose: to somehow decrease the likelihood of pregnancy after unprotected sex. The Yuzpe regimen on the other hand uses a combination of over-the-counter oral contraceptive pills to perform the same purpose. The recommendations that were already mentioned here are actually the OCPs available in the Philippines that can be used for the Yuzpe method.

I have come to your site and it has helpled me so much believe me! Since i live in the middle east, PLAN B is not available in my country due to religious reasons. And so i took a high dose of emergency contraceptive. (MICROGYNON 30) to be specific.

My story is basically me and my bf had unprotected sex but he literally only inserted it for a min, barely anything and i was so scared from pre cum so 10 hours later i took 4 pills of microgynon 30 and another 4 -12 hours later.

PLEASE anyone here has taken this let me know the outcome? Does pre ejaculatory fluid contain sperm? Please let me know what you think?

Plus i have an irregular cycle some times its 22 days sometimes its 31 days... i got my period on the 5th of April and we had unportected sex on the 24th April...

How is everyone today? I really need a reply guys. I want to know if anyone here has taken emergency contraceptive Microgynon 30 or anything similar? I took it just in case, i got paranoid from pre cum even tho it may or may not have been present. But the side effects i got from Microgynon 30 were terrible like a week later only i felt tired nauseous moody etc. Is that normal? I am really scare please guys let me know
