    ^tapos retirement na. xDDD

  6. #166
Magic's irrelevancy is inevitable if they let Dwight walk after next season, signing Shaq in front office will be a mistake.

Woohoo, another win against a hot team! This Magic team is really a pleasure to watch and has exceeded my expectations. Pure team basketball. If Jacque Vaughn can get us a playoff spot, he should be a top candidate for COY.

Plus, we got a better record than the Lakers!

NBA: Orlando casts Magic spell, snaps Clippers' win streak
    January 13, 2013 8:26am

The Orlando Magic snapped their 10-game losing streak at the expense of the Los Angeles Clippers, upsetting one of the best teams in the West on their home court, the Staples Center in LA, 104-101, Saturday (early Sunday, PHL time).

The Magic improved to 13-23 with the win, while the Clippers stumbled to 28-9, as their 13-game home win streak ground to a halt.

The last four minutes of the game saw three deadlocks, the second of which came with the score tied at 97-all, 3:05 to play. Jamal Crawford nailed a 20-foot jumper to put LA ahead, but JJ Redick scattered five straight, including a third-chance triple to gift Orlando with the lead, 102-99.

Off a timeout, Chris Paul knocked down a jump shot to make it a one-point game. Then on the other end, Lamar Odom came up with the block on Jameer Nelson, giving the Clips a chance to take the lead. However, Jamal Crawford was whistled for an offensive foul, giving Orlando back possession. They called timeout, and got the ball to center Nikola Vucevic for the dunk, 104-101.

With 8.1 seconds to go, LA worked the ball to sixth man Jamal Crawford, but the usually reliable sniper missed his three-pointer, allowing Orlando to escape with the win.

Ironically, Orlando's lead at the end of the game, three points, was their largest of the game, while the Clippers boasted of as big as a 13-point advantage.

The game saw eight ties, but the Magic never overhauled the Clippers fully until the final moments of the match.

Arron Afflalo scored 30 big points on 10-of-19 shooting, hitting all three of his triple tries. He also added seven rebounds and seven assists. Another shooter, JJ Redick, came off the bench for 21, while center Nikola Vucevic had 18 points and 15 rebounds.

Blake Griffin also scored 30, while five other Clippers registered double-digit scoring. Chris Paul had 10 markers along with 16 dimes.

Orlando had great success with second-chance opportunities, getting 22 points that way, compared to just seven by the Clippers. - AMD, GMA News

its one of the biggest come from behind win .... they were trailing the entire stretch until the final minutes. JJRedick's 3 point shooting gave the OMagic the edge.

Yeah, it's really good to see them finally close one, specially that more than half of that 10-game losing streak were just one or two possession games.

And also, Vucevic is now in the top 5 in rebounding, sitting currently at #4.

That awkward when... nah, just awkward moment.

NBA: Magic's young players take center stage in OT win versus Bucks
    April 11, 2013 10:21am

Fans of the rebuilding Orlando Magic have to like the young pieces they've acquired in the post-Dwight Howard era.

Center Nikola Vucevic, acquired last summer, produced 30 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and two blocks, while former Milwaukee Buck Tobias Harris, whom they traded for prior to the deadline, added 30 points, 19 rebounds, and five assists, in a 113-103 overtime win against Milwaukee, Wednesday (Thursday, PHL time) at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

The Magic notched their 20th win of the season after 79 outings, while the Bucks continue to back into the playoffs. They're the eighth seed out East with a 37-40 record, but are losers of seven of their last 10.

The home team led by as much as 14 points through the first three quarters, edging their foes for the majority of the initial 36 minutes. A persistent Milwaukee Bucks squad however continued to battle, resulting in seven lead changes and five ties in the fourth period.

Baskets by Monta Ellis late in regulation seemed to do the trick, establishing a 94-90 lead for the Bucks, 19.2 seconds left, but off a timeout, Tobias Harris got the put-back on a missed Maurice Harkless triple to slice their deficit in half.

A quick foul sent Ellis to the stripe, but he managed to hit just the second free throw, leaving the door open for an overtime-forcing shot, 95-92. Things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Marquis Daniels was whistled for a shooting foul on a Harris triple. That tied up the game, but he couldn't make the free throw for the win, thus forcing an extra five minutes.

In the extra session, former Orlando Magic star JJ Redick did his best to keep Milwaukee in the thick of things, scoring his side's first six, but his opponents just had more to work with, getting a seven-point buffer, 108-101, following a dunk by Harkless, 48.4 ticks left.

A quick runner by Ellis got their deficit down to five, 108-103, but off a timeout, Nikola Vucevic drew a hoop and the harm from rookie John Henson, which proved to be the nail in the coffin, especially after Milwaukee missed five shots on a single possession the next time down.

Doron Lamb, another trade deadline acquisition, added 16 off the bench, while journeyman Beno Udrih managed a double-double of 13 points and 11 assists for the Magic.

Monta Ellis dropped a double-double of 21 points and 11 assists, but was a disastrous 7-of-27 from the field. Rookie John Henson posted huge numbers off the bench, 17 points, 25 rebounds and seven blocks, while Mike Dunleavy and JJ Redick added 17 and 16 markers, respectively.
