    true.
    if the bank is serious in collecting from you,
    talagal na sana may case.
    ( the bank can recover its "loss" in many ways )

    then when you talk to the collectors,
    either or all of these things will happen to you :
    harassment;
    bastusin;
    takutin;
    lokohin;
    pahiyain;
    all those ending with "in"

    better move?
    donate your money to your church or favorite charity instead.

    hindi totoo yan! kung totoong may warrant of arrest yung mama mo. hindi na tatawag ang mag pulis para ipaalam sa inyo na may warrant na sya, darating na lang bigla sa bahay nyo yan kasi kapag pinaalam ng mga pulis na warrant of arrest ang isang tao ahead sa pagpunta nila sa tirahan ng may warrant, binibigyan lang nila ng pagkakataon ang tao na tumakas.

    its not true. don't worry. I'm sure its an old ploy of the collection agencies.

    credit card debt is a civil case, if someone will file such. walang warrant sa ganyan.

    multo yang mga "legal" department ng mga bangko on credit cards. yun nga lang, apektado talaga ang credit history mo for sometime. just for sometime. ;-) pero do that in SG and elsewhere, blacklisted ka sigurado.

    I announce niya na huhulihin ka na? Kalokohan, hehe...Ganito ba dialogue? "Hoy kurdapyo, pupuntahan ka namin sa bahay mo, may warrant of arrest ka, huwag kang aalis diyan ha?"

    hehehe...

    If you are a dafault cardholder and for sometime hasn't paid any, the bank will regularly send you reminder letters and phone calls pero after 6 months (I think correct me if I'm wrong) of no payment they will send you the notice that your account has been referred to this and that collection agency. By this time the bank no longer is interested on you. But the ordeal will start with the agency up to a maximum of 1 year harassment.

    Am I right banker.

    If the bank is interested in collecting from you, why refer it merely to 3rd parties instead of filing directly a case in court?

    ORDEAL - this only happens when we allow it.
    kung ipapahiya ka o mag-eskandalo, remember, there is a law on libel, alarm and scandal or grave threats! these are all punishable by imprisonment. dont sit on that right!

    because referring the accounts to those 3rd parties is much cheaper and are "experts" in these these kind of matter? so that banks could just "get rid of delinquent accounts" to a third party and just move on to what they do best - banking?

    Nope. BSP Cir. 398 Series of 2003:

    Accounts past due for 181 or more
    are to be classified as "loss" ;

    Thus, any collections thereafter are merely "recoveries";
    May collection o wala, wala kaming pakialam. lol!

    What they do best - banking?
    They cannot even set intelligent credit initiation nor proper remedial management.It shows on their PDO ratio level! they are a joke.

    Hi Mr. Banker

    Question lang po, May loan po kasi ako sa bank from my previous company, then nun nag resign ako sabi sa akin ng acctng di ko na daw makukuha yun backpay ko kse sakto lang sa payment for my bank loan.
    then now after 2 years na contact ako ng isang lawfirm at sinisingil sa loan na yun, hindi pala na settle ng previous company ko, the problem is closed na yun dati kung office kaya di ko na din mahabol.

    Now ako kinukulit ng lawfirm and yun utang ko na 10k nasa30k na sya. Now sabi ko sa collector willing ako bayaran yun 10k without interest, pero ayaw nila pumayag collection dept./lawfirm.

    Mr. Banker may nakukulong po sa ganito? kahit willing ako bayaran yun tamang utang ko lang at hindi yun triple ng sinisingil nila kse medyo hirap din ako sa gastusin now

    you believe him simply because he said so?
    if it is really authorized, why dont it file a complaint?
    many agencies simply FOOL people.
    dare them to take you to court to prove everything
    is legal.

    BTW, they could ran after the guarantor - your company.
    they are just trying their luck on you.
    (for their commission! )

    Hi banker, question lang po,halos lahat po ba ng mga local banks pare-preho lang ang style sa paghahabol sa mga defaulted cardholder like yung sa mga threats po?thanks

  16. #936
    basically, yes.
    some slight variations like
    filing of cases.
    most banks don't.
    ( credit card accounts)

    Question, uso ba ang balance transfer sa Pilipinas?

    As in you transfer your credit card debt from one card to another. Usually kasi mas mababa ang interest rate ng balance transfers compared to interest on purchases. For example, dito 18% pa ang interest rate on purchases sa balance transfer 5.6% pa lang. Minsan 0% for 12 months pa for balance transfers kung bagong customer ka.

    Eto kasi ginagawa ko pag medyo mataas ang aking credit card bill for the month. Hahanap ako ng 0% na balance transfer tapos I will pay it off dahan dahan hanggat 0% interest pa. Minsan kahit may pambayad na ako I defer it kasi sayang naman interest.

    Gusto nila yun 30kpinipilit po nun agent. kung hindi daw ako magbabayad he'll process the litigation proceedings. takot me.

    salamat po

    If a collector comes in your house asks the ff:

    1. May I see a valid IDs.
    2. Where's your letter authorizing you to collect my unpaid bills at i.e. Metrobank.
    3. Where's the billing statements?

    I'm pretty sure they'll run away.
