the letter from the law firm said that it's is a promo/ special offer, if we pay the amount, everything will be settled and my mom will be removed from being blacklisted...
No such thing as a promo. this is no midnight sale?
somebody passes away and still be blacklisted? plain dumb logic.
forget it. you have other better things to do in your life. that law firm is a joke.![]()

Wala ba tayong Fi-CO score measurement? Sa US lang yata ito applicable kasi nakita ko sa Oprah. Yung mga nabaon sa utang kawawa talaga. Na-foreclosed ang mga houses bought through mortgage. Sa kanila, the FI CO score determines how much interest a financial institution can charge you. The higher your FI/CO score, the more credible borrower you are - so may chance na lower interest rate makuha mo.![]()
don't worry about it, just ignore the demands by the law firm...hinde sa inyo nakaname yun card sa mom mo which btw already passed away. so sino hahabulin nila? pag tumawag ulit paulit mo kung kanino nakaname yun demand letter nila....
and next time tell them that it's ok na malagay sa black list mom mo, tell them you don't think your mom would mind it....
thanks.
Mathematically speaking, if you pay only 10% of whatever amount due, it will take you TEN (10) years to fully pay it.
surprised?![]()
as long as you pay the minimum before your due date you won't have any problems with your credit card issuer.
obviously paying just the minimum will take years (if not decades) for you to pay the balance. in the end you would have paid more interest than the principal.
most credit cards require a minimum payment amount of 3-4% or 250-500 pesos which ever is higher per billing cycle.
check the following credit card calculators:
CNNMoney: When will you be debt free?
Sorted: Credit card calculator
Fido: FIDO credit card calculator
for the interest rate to input:
if you are charged 3.5% per month enter 42% on the APR or interest rate field. if you're paying less than 3.5% just multiply whatever your monthly interest rate by 12.
I live with someone who failed to pay her Citibank credit card. The bank kept pestering her non-stop. Now, the time came when she had to get an NBI clearance to be able to apply for a passport.
Guess what happened?
She wasn't able to get one! Apparently, she had a record. I don't know lang for sure if Citi filed a case against her basta she can't get cleared.
So yun, lesson learned.
h2obaby,
please indicate the "Hit"
hinde covered ang civil cases like debts![]()
Sorry but I don't what "Hit" means. Also, I'm not sure of the exact details of the case, or its scope, but she wasn't able to get her NBI Clearance because of it.
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 157 - AN ACT CREATING A BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION:
Purpose : To undertake investigations of crimes and other offenses against the laws of the Philippines
Not being able to pay your debt is NOT a crime nor an offense
against the laws of the Philippines.![]()
i found this on google:
If the remarks on you NBI clearance is:
NO RECORD ON FILE - it is issued for those who requested for their NBI clearance for the FIRST TIME
NO DEROGATORY RECORD -is issued upon renewal of NBI clearance but means clean record also and should be acceptable.
NO CRIMINAL RECORD - means there is a civil case/record on file
